Famed game producer Hironobu Sakaguchi of Mistwalker and developer Artoon present the highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive Blue Dragon. Featuring the character design of Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball Z and music by Nobuo Uematsu of Final Fantasy, Blue Dragon is an epic role-playing game that centers on a young boy named Shu and several of his friends.
These unlikely heroes possess the power to control phantom shadows that mirror the actions of their masters, giving Shu and his comrades miraculous strength and magical powers.
The warriors can create and develop their combat styles by utilizing different types of Shadow Change, including Sword, Assassin, and Power Magic. Shu and his friends must use the shadows as weapons and wield their skills to save their world from impending doom.
Encountering various people on a planet where numerous ancient ruins remain, the characters and their shadows travel through a world full of mysteries and illusions, where the slightest touch can cause reactions of unparalleled magnitude.
This Asian release version supports selectable Japanese and Korean voices, with English or traditional Chinese subtitles and menus.

Classic JRPG It's turn based combat with real-time map. The story is cookie cutter JRPG - so if you love the genre, you could probably predict what happens next.
Do yourself a favour and never play on the easiest mode. Some grinding is required on the harder levels, but levelling up the various Classes can be rewarding.
Some of the class mechanics are obtuse to begin with, but you'll quickly learn how to twist things to your advantage.
Definitely *the* budget RPG game to get to waste those hours away!
A great RPG at this price At this price, one of the must have games for the xbox360. Finely tuned mechanics and enjoyable storyline, pulls you in and makes you laugh. The turn based battle system is easy to get to grips with, but difficult to master.
Not Final Fantasy. But it's still good. From the former director/producer of the FF series comes Blue Dragon. You'd be forgiven for thinking that this was yet another FF game, but honestly, it feels like it. A convoluted yet slightly predictable plot coupled with the stock standard semi-random RPG battle make for a game you've probably seen before.
A great RPG! Blue Dragon might not be sheer perfection, but it still delivers a truly exemplary console RPG experience by thoughtfully executing and expanding on longtime genre traditions.
Great RPG This title, while possessing its fair share of flaws such as terrible pacing, and semi-interesting plot and characters, is quite a joyful JRPG experience for the hardcore JRPG loving gamers.
Such an experience comes from the excellent turn-based battle system on display here, which throughout the entire 40+ hour game, provides an immediate and rewarding challenge.
Highly recommended for JRPG lovers, and at this price, do not miss out!
A must have Being one of the earliest JRPGs for Xbox360, Blue Dragon still looks quite decent in terms of graphics. The control delivers an old-classed but authentic JRPG feeling. For such a price, it's definitely one of the best deals you can find on the market.
Great game + great price = Must buy I have not finished the game yet because my just arrived more i've played a lot and I say, perfect game and great graphics, essential for any fan of JRPG.
Best Deal Ever! For Great JRPG Not a fan of RPG, But really like this one a lot. Cute graphic, good story, and nice control. Best of all look at the price! Three disc Game! for only this much ! Imagine how many hours of fun & entertainment for this price ! Best Deal EVER!
Only for strict JRPG fan A casual JRPG won't love this game, you should buy Lost Odyssey instead. But if you are a die hard JRPG and love dragonball anime, you should give this a shot. It's not a great game, but an interesting game.
Do you like Dragon ballz ? Yeah...From the creator of dragon ballz, you can play one of the best rpg for xbox 360, i can't stop playing this since i get this one...
Thank you for your fast delivery
Play Asia.. you are the best online game shop ever !!!
Excellent JRPG This was one of the few RPGs at the start of the XBOX 360 cycle. The graphics of this game are very good. The game play is traditional turn based batlles, but the batlles load quickly and go smoothly. This game is very well balanced. I found this game a lot more funner and rewarding than Lost Odyssey, which is made by the same guy. One thing I have against the game is that you don't get an achievement for beating the game (XBOX 360 gives you achievement points when you do things in a video game.) I beat Blue Dragon and have only 5 achievements and 30 points. Lost Odyssey I have somewhere like 770 points.
the first jrpg I have ever finished the title says it all, at 33 years old....this is the only one I like enough to finish....I loved it

Great RPG ^_^ Having played through the Asian version of the game (Japanese voice acting, English text), I am happy to say that this game lives up to its pedigree. Quite simply this is the best Japanese console RPG to be released this year (yes it's even better than FFXII which is no small feat). The graphics are superb which is a given. Uematsu's music is great and should be familiar to Final Fantasy fans everywhere. The story whilst being traditional JRPG fare (little kids saving the world) is well executed with great character development and good dialogue. The Japanese voice acting is superb (not sure about the English voice acting off course) and the localization is good as well. The combat system is where this game really shines though. Firstly there are no random battles (yay). Secondly there are a number of cool ways you can interact with enemies in the field. Thirdly the Shadow job system is not only well executed but extremely flexible, allowing you to mix and match a selection of skills to meet your strategy. Couple this with a play time of at least 35 hours and you have a must have Xbox 360 or for that matter general gaming purchase. Don't miss out on this title amid all the higher profile releases this spring :).

disaster i bought this game and i expect it to be great but unfortuantly it's seriously boring and the gamplay is so repeated you will do the same attack and the magic for all the characters you can download the demo first it's available in the US server in Xbox Live
the game realy so bad and i'm so upset i spent this much for unworth game, please download the demo first or you will regret it.
No title Honestly Blue Dragon, I was quite suprised by this game.
It s kind a mix of Final Fantasy and Grandia. ( the system is rather based on Grandia than on Final imo )
The 1st DVD drags on and on, but the 2nd and 3rd one are pretty fun and it can be really entertaining.
This game holds content for about 40h, 30 of them are worth the time.
Well, the story is also interesting, here and there a little too predictable but not bad though.
The graphics are impressive as well, from time to time, you can hardly distingush between prerederned and in game FMV!
The sound is...ok, old school FF mix.
Gameplay can be boring ( just like FF was ) but
either ways you wont regret to finish this game!

Great If you like JRPG's buy this, no excuses!
Great chracters, story and an enjoyable combat system. Sound in the game is of a high quality with an excellent score, but it's also the only let down.
Boss fights are accompanied (for some strange and annoying reason) cheesy-80's-spandex-style rock music. The kind of thing you would normally associate with Sega, though not quite as bad. After 15 hours of play, I can ignore it now, but yet I wonder what the developers were thinking.

Blue Dragon (English/Chinese language version) As a veteran japanese RPG-freak I am overwhelmed by how good this game is. The graphics are almost comparable to Gears of Wars in terms of excellence and the world is as full of details as a Shenmue was back in the days with the difference of playing an epic, huge, lenghty RPG. There is really nothing bad to say about Blue Dragon, it is an almost perfect game and by far, far, far the most beautiful jp. RPG ever out there(which by now doesn't say that much because of course it is the one and only out there if you forget about enchanted arms for a moment and not counting Oblivion as it is a western RPG). Whoever is as lucky as me and owns a japanese 360 and likes jp. RPGs must get it, all others still will have to suffer and wait for the US version. Overall, by far the best 360 game so far(which is due to my general dislike of western games, I do play them though). Spent all my free time with it, haven't been hooked like this for ages on any game. WORD!
Blue Dragon Despite the involvement of Hironobu Sakaguchi, father of Square Enix's world-renowned Final Fantasy (FF) role-playing game (RPG) franchise, expect in Blue Dragon not the convoluted character-driven storyline of your average FF, but simplistic fare that is mostly as an excuse to propel the protagonists to their next dungeon. The lack of plot might bother you initially, but is soon forgotten once you get a taste of the excellent character growth and combat mechanics in here. Protagonist Shu and friends each possesses a shadow creature that can be placed under any of nine inter-changeable shadow categories representing such typical RPG roles as the warrior, elemental mage and thief. Each category caters to its intended role by granting practical statistic bonuses and a basic category skill.
As the category's rank (a shadow's equivalent of character levels) increases, the bonuses snowball, and advanced category skills are unlocked. Only four advanced category skills can be equipped at a time, but the good news is that they can be equipped independent of the character's shadow category, allowing conscientious players to mix and match for improved results. Although the shadow category system is derivative of older FF games, it works well. Genre veterans will be pleased with how familiar and flexible the nuances feel. but not everything is derivative.
Intoducing simultaneous encounters, a revolutionary feature that makes the process of ranking up and unlocking skills much less mundane. Monsters are visible in the dungeon areas your party explores, so enemy encounters are triggered when you come into contact with one. So addictive are the combat mechanics that it is disappointing whenever there are distractions to lengthen the quest. The biggest beef: the ridiculous amount of out-of-places objects - cupboards, pillars, trees and rocks - you can search for gold, items or experience points. Annoying as it may be to examine every little nook and cranny, the rewards are too substantial for you to pass up.
Fantastic!!! This game reminded me an ultra-high RPG classic: Skies of/Eternal Arcadia... and this is very good!!!
Graphics are incredible in an artistic way. The soundtrack is very cool, the voice cast is amazing, simply perfect...
Everything about this game is over the top... this is the supreme 360 title by now, an instant classic.
Hey, japanese gamers: now you have a BIG reason to purchase a 360... this game is far better than any Wii or PS3 title by now...
Purchase it and you'll not regret!!
Goog game for the 360 only... It's a Japanese version and doesn't include english subtitles for you to understand what is being said. Be patient and wait until an english version is released if you care about it.
This RPG is beautiful I was shocked when I opened up the case and say 3, yes 3, discs sitting there. This game is enormous! The visuals are excellent, any fan of Dragon Quest or Dragonball will be familiar with what to expect, only this time in high def! The sound is superb, and the gameplay is great. I'm having a blast with it.
Not recommended if you can't understand Japanese, maybe it would be best to wait for the English version, as the story is very good and should be fully appreciated.
Excellent solid RPG. I hope with this title the Xbox360 finally becomes popular in Japan!
The Best RPG to come along in a while. I don't understand Japanese, but whatever's going on, it's seriously cool. Graphics are really cool along with the art direction. If you can't wait for the US version, pick it up! I don't understand why the play-asia ad link on the right is all the way down...
