You can purchase DLC for Death Smiles , Tomb Raider Underworld , and others that unlock additional gamerscore points . You can even purchase a nice variety of Japan Exclusive premium themes , themes , gamer pictures , & XBox Originals . Games on demand requires a Japan Credit card and you can not use a Marketplace point card for Games on demand , since the currency is in the Japanese YEN Currency .

I normally buy all my stuff on the Japan Marketplace. But, recently I wanted to get a bunch of stuff not available in Japan, like Street Fighter HD Remix and the Mass Effect DLC. Of course, I have a US XBL silver account for demos, but it wouldn't accept any of my credit cards to buy points for it. However, after getting the 4000 points card from PlayAsia I was able to add points to my silver account, and buy all the stuff I wanted on the US marketplace. I can even play them logged into my Japan gold account and get the achievements. A big help!

Thailand Xbox Live Users Rejoice
I live in thailand and the credit cards here cant be used to redeem live points or Xbox Live Gold. So this is the best alternative for me. =) what would I do without play-asia.

I have an asian account but moved to another country on work. Xbox doesnt allow me to change my locale in settings.... dumb? yes... but at least I can buy this off playasia

Great for Overseas Live Accounts
Point cards are a great solution for anyone who wants access to premium Xbox Live content that's unavailable in their home country. Although MS locks its video marketplace and "games on demand" by IP address, most XBLA games and DLC can be purchased as long as you have an account based in the same region and the necessary amount of points. Naturally that's where these point cards come in - an easy and safe way to charge up an overseas account!

A god send for me in Japan
My main account for xbox is Japanese-based but for some DLC which is not available in the J-marketplace I have a silver american account. To avoid using a credit card, I use play asia to buy AMERICAN point cards for that silver account! Play Asia rocks!

I'm not quite sure what the deal was with the previous reviewers, but the point card I received did in fact work with the Japanese Marketplace. I logged into my JPN account, redeemed the card number, and got my 3500 points no problem.

It should say on the description that it won't work with the Japanese accounts, so if you are buying this for, say, Idolmaster, DON'T. Put in your credit card instead.
