So Far So Good
Its nice story and combat fighting(it should be, alex is a soldier) unlike previous games. Infairness with Double Helix did a great job though puzzles were easy to solve. Not too scary. A little with the controller configuration....

Its not bad...but I enjoyed playing it..

This is a different Silent Hill
Double Helix ruined everything. If you hated Silent Hill movie, you'll also hate the story of this game.New combat system is unnecessary. We know main character is a experienced soldier and you'll have no problem at defeating the monsters. But sometimes you will ask yourself a question.Where is the Survival Horror??? The problem is Silent Hill Homecoming DID NOT scare me.I played all silent hill games and I always thought SH1,SH2 were the best and SH4 the room was the worst (SH4 was at least creepy sometimes)How wrong was I.This game is a crap and isn't even scary. If Team Silent won't be making another Silent hill game, then I'm done with Silent hill.

Poetry in suspenseful, frightening motion
Let me talk about the game Homecomin. All in all a great game! Been playing it and i loved every bit of it. I've been a fan of the silent hill series since the 2nd and although different in every aspect. It shows a lot of promise in everything else.

Everything in the game tells a story. The town, the people, the monsters. All of them have a meaning in the game. The main character may seem more capable than anyone in the previous games to handle the horrors of silent hill but it suits the game just fine seeing how the monsters in it are also a bit more aggresive. The bosses are my favorite part of the game. Cuz they represent such beauty with a mix of disturbia. I can't explain how i feel about it. But it's great! Although it is a bit short. I'm guessing they wanted to try out the game mechanics in this game to see how the media likes it. Lets not blame the game for being different. It's worth every penny!

SH Homecoming is lost
well just got the game today (thanks playasia!)

been playing it now for hours straight and i got to say that im a little disappointed..the lead character is too capable that it robs the game of its horror and suspense, and the scares is as predictable as a western horror movie

..lost is the incapability of the character that creates on its own psychological horror experience; lost as well is the niche psychological scares that leans on Japanese macabre and cult(ish) movies like Jacob's Ladder...

the SH series should go back to its roots and for that fact to its own original developers!..stop emulating the SH movie its not that good from the start anyway..

for the diehard SH fan (like me) i suggest getting this for the sake of having it in the SH repertoire but other than that i suggest to really think about it first
