Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the co-operative gameplay of Left 4 Dead™ casts four "Survivors" in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying "Boss Infected" mutants.
The Survivor Co-op Game Mode is played out across four sprawling campaigns, set in urban and rural environments. The team of four Survivors may be comprised of one to four human players, allowing for single player and multiplayer co-op games.
The next-generation A.I. technology of all non-player Survivor and zombie characters is a pool of systems used to procedurally generate a unique experience by monitoring the players' experiences and tailoring the pacing and difficulty of action for each game. This makes for a different experience each time the game is played.
In the Left 4 Dead Vs. Mode, play as a Survivor or as one of four types of "Boss Infected." Each of the "Boss Infected" possesses an exceptional mutant ability -- such as a 50-foot tongue lasso or a giant belly full of explosive methane gas -- instead of traditional firearms.

Non Stop action Left 4 dead is non stop action, so many Zombies and so many bullets = one mighty good time. Campaign mode rocks with a very very solid Co-op mode.
Unbeatable team play and replayability Works perfectly on a Pal au console, and yet again a testament to Valve's belief in a quality playing experience.
It remains competent in single player, but the crux is found in multi-player, especially four player. You and three mates teaming zombies would be difficult to usurp. Left 4 Dead+ Play-Asia = Win!
Nonstop shooting!!! You never saw nothing like that, it's a lot of zombies that will make you tv small, and you 12 caliber shotgun will not be enough. Bring some friends and you got a high value replay game. Want more? Play as a infected itself and smoke your friends with a horrorific zombie wandering around for meat!!!
Best Coop-Shooter in years! I really enjoyed this game and am looking forward to its successor!

Great game ... for 4 Players There is not much to say. Definetly one of the best multiplayer shooter today.
There is a total of four level (and an aditional one can be downloaded via XBox Live) Each level can be completed in about an hour. So for a single player its rather short. But there is nothing like playing with others togehter to see how far you can reach on the higher difficult levels.
Also there is a nice versus-mode with players taking roles of survivors and zombies trying to reach high scores.
Slaughter house This game may lack lots of elements, and might not be the smartest game on the market. But if you look at how they designed the game towards the market segment it was meant to please, the game is fantastic. This game features lots of brain dead challenges, bullets and things to kill. Its entertaining, funny and bloody as hell. Its great if you want something to entertain yourself, without involving to much brain activity.
Good Shooter Its a realy good CooP Game for 4 Friends to play with.
The Grafic is not spectaculear but very good to.The only boring thin in that Game is the Waitingtime for respawn when you play the infected, with 28 sec when you play with 4 persons is it definitly to long.
Great game for co-op Great co-op zombie killing first person shooter. Best to play with three other player, even if they are strangers. The game encourages cooperation a lot, level design is awesome, maybe a little bit short, but has a great replay value. Maybe the best co-op game ever.
Awesome price for a hell of a game Get into it before number 2 comes out, if your into your survival horror, a fan of 28 weeks later and such movies, this is one of the more 'realistic' horror zombie type games out there, it feels like the entire world is zombified and by the end of the game youve taken down many small towns worth of living dead, much fun ;)
Addictive, multi-player mayhem! I have to say, that I am not a big fan of Valve's games... their previous outings have done little to impress me.
But Left 4 Dead really caught me off guard!
The action is intense and in-your-face. The zombies can come at you in frenzied waves. Plus the "special" zombies can break up a well-formed team by dragging, smashing, pinning down and tagging individual members with vomit. Which makes you depend on your team-mates. At each checkpoint (safe room) the game tallies up a range of statistics. As in, who did the most head shots, took the least damage, killed the most zombies, etc. So this keeps it competitive in a fun way.
The A.I. Manager for this game is great. As you never know where the zombies will come from or where the items or weapons will spawn for each play-through. This keeps things fresh and challenging, no matter how many times you play through.
The Game of the Year edition is great because it has all the extra content on the disc, saving space for the 20Gb owners and saving others the hassle of a download.
In short, this is a worthy purchase. Find 4 friends and get ready to fight for your life.
A great game gets even better After moving to Korea, it was quite apparent that I wanted to keep playing Left 4 Dead with my friends back home.
Just as I got my Xbox here, the Game of the Year Edition of Left 4 Dead was released, and I snatched that up.
The game is a top notch co-operative play first person shooter developed by Valve, and is the most fun you'll have with your friends from across the world on a Saturday morning.
The added Survival mode DLC is included on the disc, which is handy (saves a little hard drive space in case you have the 20GB model).
If you don't own Left 4 Dead yet (and if you don't, shame on you!) then get this version for sure!
Left 4 Dead Sad to say, I would be dead if I was ever trapped in a zombie movie. For all the times I have laughed at the untimely deaths of zombie victims on celluloid, nothing really prepares you for the ferocity of the new breed of flesh eaters, popularized in such films as 28 Days Later and Dawn Of The Dead. Playing as one of the four survivors who have to escape to safety, I got mauled peering in a dark room, straying too far from my group, looking around when I should have been looking up and while trying to heal myself. Basically, these are scenarios all horror buffs "recognize" as the one where the victim gets killed. Player stupidity aside though, Left 4 Dead is also a strong multiplayer game as it allows you to coordinate your attacks and escape with your friends, something that the single player campaign fails to deliver.

Awesome played the demo and i can say that it's the best game of the year. They say that the difficulty scales depending on your group's skills but I've yet to see this when PlayAsia delivers my pre-order :)
