The balance between the sacred and secular worlds are disrupted and it's time for the Arcana Hearts girls to act, again. Aside from the original cast, more girls are joining in the fray, expanding the list of playable characters to 20.
Each girl has their Arcana whom they cooperate with to launch attacks, and with 20 of these spirits, there are 400 combinations you can form and a large array of skills you can use against your enemies.
The system is upgraded with numerous add ons such as Arcana Blast and Critical Heart. Launch these in the right moment and take your enemies down.
The scenarios in the game are fully voiced and as you proceed with the girls' adventures you are rewarded with CG stills. Keep them stored in the gallery.
Arcana Hearts fights are back with even cooler elements and characters, come grab your game now!
Why did this happened ? When I read the review of this game, I didn't want to believe what they said. When the game finally came, I've cried when I played it. I was so horrified how this game was! Why couldn't they use the same work in the original Arcana Heart? The frist didn't have any problems but the second was just plane disgusting!! Because of the lag problem, I had a very hard time fighting the true final boss!! My guess is that the developers was in the rush to make this game and yet, they did very messy job. This game is a mess and if you played this on the ps2 port, your going to cry. I'm not kidding! , this game is just herrendous!!!

bad port of a fantastic game, sooooo sad;-( played this in the arcades when i was in japan, awsome game but when it comes to the PS2 port what have the done eeeek...slow down, shaky screen flaws and load time ruin this classic. Examu you poo.

wrong system this would have been so much better as a Wii port...
It's a great game, but fails on the PS2. If you're still looking for a good quirky Japanese fighter though, try the first one.

Don't you do it, humanoids. This is the sorriest port of a game for PS2 to date. Take your money and go buy something else.
My mother warned me about games like this.

Terrible port. Great game, but was not meant for the PS2. If you can possibly play this in the arcade by any means, do that instead. Do not buy this. Don't pay into the laziness/money-making scheme. This should have been on a more powerful system or not ported at all, it's just...gross.

Very disappointed The arcade version is gold compared to this; i was hyped for about a year about a PS2 version, and we get this.
Why, Examu? why don't you get back all the copies of the game and delay a re-release to fix all this lag, graphical issues and atrocious loading times?
Perhaps the ps2 can't handle the game even if it's fixed.
just avoid this version at all costs, it's not worth it.

A great game gone bad ported on the Ps2. This is no doubt one of the worse ports I've seen.
The game performance lags while playing with certain characters, and the graphics looks shaky as if it is losing v-sync. If weren't for these problems, this game would've been awesome.
Hard to believe that this would do worse than the prequel. I feel kind of ripped off by the developers now.

Great Game, Poor Console Port I bought Arcana Heart Full and when I played it, it was wonderful.....No problems what-so-ever. We jump to today and I got my copy of Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2 expecting the same quality of gameplay I got from AHF....man, my expectations were shattered in a instant.
Truth be told, the PS2 can't handle this game. The constant slowdowns during combos and graphical glitches when supers are performed just took all the fun out of this game for me. I'll still play it but only due to the fact that there isn't an arcade in my nearby area with this game.
If this has to be your last resort, so be it but if not then go and play this at the arcade. Avoid this port at all cost unless you have no choice.

Horrible port, avoid! This game is nothing like the original. The slowdown is incredibly bad and it occurs whenever a combo happens. The game only runs accurately when you move left and right, but when you try to actually DO anything, it becomes all choppy and slower than the arcade original. Avoid.

Do not but this game at all!!! Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2 is a fantastic fighting game but that doesn't mean anything if the port to console is complete ass. This game has terrible slowdown even when trying to preform BNB combos and the load times are terrible.
Please don't waste your money. Sadly if you want to play S!AH2 you're going to have to find an arcade somewhere that has it.

Great game, extremely poor console port I had high expectations for this game, and even received it two days before the official Japanese release date. HOWEVER, none of my expectations were met.
First and foremost, the main thing that takes away from this game is the lag. Whenever you perform a super with a character, the game slows horrendously. The PS2 cannot handle the original arcade's specs, which leads to a 'watering-down' of the original graphics. The problem, however, lies with the programming. Even after watering down the graphics, many problems still exist in the final, released version. More work and testing could have been put into it, but not nearly enough was done.
The game, at its very core, still functions. But if you play characters such as Dorothy or Petra, prepare to slow down the game A LOT.
I am one of the biggest Arcana Heart fans out there, but this port does not do justice to the franchise at all.
