Tomy's popular anime based fighting game Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen is getting its fourth exclusive Gamecube™ release.
Topping the previous three releases, Tomy has included a number of interesting new features, combined with the popular game play of the series. New is a full-blown tag team mode, similar to that in Tekken Tag Tournament, and the ability for all characters to side step while running. In tag team mode, pre-assigned teams can perform unique super moves (e.g.: Sharingan Team, consisting of Kakashi, Sasuke, and Itachi, has Sasuke and Kakashi using Chidori, while Itachi uses Amaterasu).
Certainly not to be missed are new summons and transformations, such as Naruto's AI-controlled bunshi and his ability to transform into Kyubi mode at any given time, as long as he has a full-bar of chakra.
Orochimaru's bodyguards have received Orochimaru's seal and therefore gained the ability to transform.
The game is set in a total of more than 25 different stages, including new places such as Konohagakure Forest, Konohagakure Outskirts, Konohagakure Hospital Roof, Orochimaru's Lair and Konohagakure Police Department.

Simple Brilliance I've never played a fighting game quite like this one... rather than have strings of complicated combos such as Tekken, the programmers who made this game mastered a sort of simple, yet elegant battle style... most combos are a mixture of B or A and the joystick, so button mashers can pick up and play fairly decently, but on the same token, people who have experience with the game will almost always come on top if they have good timing... the dodge system is quick responsive and easy to do, and the multiple scenarios such as 1 on 1, tag team, and up to 4 player melee have an extremely high replay value most people would probably associate to super smash bros... amazing, amazing game... personally worth the couple hundred i spent on getting a gamecube and all the necessary peripherals to play it.

The Best Naruto out so far, BETTER THAN EX 3! Not only does it have a decent amount of characters, but the 3 on 3 team system makes this game excel in replay value! For those looking to buying Naruto GNT EX 3, or should i say EX 2.01, FORGET IT, and purchase this if you have not already. This game is worth your money and the best Naruto game to have around with friends. EX 3 is such a big upset! I hope that Takara Tomy will work harder next year and create EX 4 that is actually worth getting.
