Mostly Harmless
I've tried using a Classic Controller Pro on Kirby Air Ride and Pokemon Colosseum with no problems. However, there is one anomaly I came across...
The GameCube's Game Boy Player attachment won't accept input from the Linker. To be more specific, the emulation of the Game Boy game won't read its input: before it loads, the system asks if I want to use 60Hz mode which I can select just fine. I can't tell if this is a problem with the Linker itself not being a perfect emulator of the GameCube controller or if the GameCube itself parses GameCube game inputs differently to Game Boy Player inputs. Either way, it's a small annoyance.
For all other intents and purposes, though, the Classic Linker Plus is a useful peripheral. The price is pretty decent too, even if it's for a functionality that should have been standard on the Wii console. >_>

Mediocre
cons:
- Analog triggers unsupported on wii classic ( forget mario sunshine )
- The worst results are with the PS2 controller
Dead zone is too short the joysticks must be perfectly centered ( it never happen )
special moves on d-pad are nearly impossible to get
- You'll have to buy an extension cable.
pros:
It's Ok with the classic and the classic pro controller.
that's all...
Note that he keys are remaped for better or for worse. Only one setting.

Classic Linker Plus
The Classic Linker Plus is an excellent adaptor to connect the Wii Classic Controller and the PS2 Controller, it works perfect and it is the best way for the connectivity of those two controllers directly to the Wii console form the GameCube sockets (without the needing of the Wii Remote and batteries)! The only thing is the cable wich is short(which is not primarily), this can supplement with a Gamecube controller extension cable.

Great product
I tested this product with Sonic Mega Collection and the Classic Controller Pro. No problems, no lag, it works perfectly. Only downside is the adapter's short cord.
