description
When Mario, Peach and an entourage of her loyal Toad friends set out for a tropical vacation on lovely Isle Delfino, they're in store for much more than a relaxing holiday. A mustachioed maniac has mucked up the entire island, and Mario is accused of committing the crime. Armed with a hi-tech water cannon called FLUDD (Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device), Mario sets out to clean the island, clear his name, and solve the mystery of the villainous vandal.

Like Super Mario 64, Mario has many things to accomplish in each area of Isle Delfino. Every time Mario completes a task, he is rewarded with a Shine Sprite. Mario's missions include battling giant Piranha Plants, navigating treacherous platform challenges, solving mysteries, collecting Blue Coins, and many more. As Mario collects Shine Sprites, new areas of Isle Delfino are unlocked. This is Mario's biggest challenge ever!

Luckily, Mario isn't alone. Princess Peach and her entourage of Toads aren't much help, but the island's natural population of Yoshis sure are! Mario can ride multi-colored Yoshis throughout the island, using their tongue-slurping strength to accomplish various tasks. Other familiar characters make cameos throughout the game, along with a wide variety of all-new characters.

    Another steal!!
I never owned a gamecube but i do have a wii,
This game worked perfectly and for this price, it's a good deal.
Fun game that was highly rated during it's day and even when i played it now, it's still one of the greatest platformer. Hey, it's mario....
For your info, although it's a korean version of the game but the menu and languages are all in ENGLISH!!

    Great but too challenging!!
Surprisingly the plunger makes it unlike a mario game... but it's still a good one. Some of the levels (esp. the stages with 8-bit mario theme music) are too hard for me.

May be the best version for you
If you own an Asian Gamecube and you don't know Japanese, I highly recommand this version of SMS to you. While the manual is in Korean making it unreadable for non-Korean. The game context is in full English so that you actually won't need the manual. The disc play just like any other Japanese version games and you save progress in an Asian-formatted memory card. You don't need any FreeLoader or else.

The gameplay is very relaxing and sometimes tedeous if you just want to complete the story. The tropical-isle-vacation theme making the game even more relaxing. But the game won't disapoint challenge seekers. There are plenty of very challenging side missions. But trust me, you won't miss too much for not finishing them. The graphics is among the best on Gamecube. Control is good. The missions are fancy. The game continuously give you fresh feeling even after hours and hours of gameplay.

    Great game.
This game is a challenge, but it's not hard enough to ruin the fun. A perfect Original from Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto. I've had a fun time with this one, even though I haven't collected all the Shine Sprites yet. Anyway, don't listen to those people that say this is a horrible game from the Mario franchise.Try it for yourself, then you'll get the real experience the way Mario is done. Originally and fun for all.

    Super Mario Sunshine - GameCube
This is no Mario 64. Some say it's better, some say it's worse. Some even say the game is far too hard. Personally, I do actually prefer Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64 to this, but I'll take nothing away from this game, it is good but isn't the long awaited sequel to Mario 64 like everyone wanted.
When I first got this, I wondered what Nintendo was up to. First Luigi's Mansion with a proton pack, busting ghosts as it were, and now Mario is running around watering flowers and cleaning up baddies' evil dirt. A clever and original concept, so well done to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto for bringing yet another class game.
It is hard though, even for me, and I've usually swept through all the Mario games, like the so called Mario 3, and Mario World. I also got all 120 stars on Mario 64, and... oh, those aren't important right now. What is important is this game. It's been out a while, so if you haven't touched it because you're afraid of a challenge, or heard it's rubbish. Ignore that, it's a good game and everyone should have a go. It's fun, and that's what gaming is all about.
