Purchase this only if you need it.I did as i was unaware that an AC adapter existed that could be used with the Japanese and American Wii on 220-240V power outlets.
I am still keeping it though.just in case i may need it someday.It is heavy stuff and i was glad to see that it came nicely packaged in a box and in perfect condition

The 220V 100V/110V Stepdown Converter (500W) or CT-500 in short, is a great converter that allows you to run your (JPN/US) Xbox360/Wii/PS3 consoles on EU-sockets. It comes with a UK-plug, but be aware that if you live somewhere else you might need to buy a additional socket adapter/travel plug (European style plug for example). Also the picture shown above isn't correct. The one in the photo has 4 inputs to connect an 110V appliance. Whereas the one that is being shipped out only has 3 inputs. The latest version of this step down converter is NOT the one as shown in this picture. The one in the photo has 4 inputs to connect an 110V appliance. Whereas the one that is being shipped out now by PlayAsia has only 3 inputs. Two for 110V and one for 220V.
The converter works fine, it's just not exactly like the one represented in the photo.

It's a very good product
