Fantasic quality mat
I bought this as the next step from my worn-out soft mat..

My scores have increased on every game!

The slight difference in feel on the arrow pads is all you need to feel around with your feet.

The foam is just the right consistency to be comfortable to jump on yet still responsive. It is a pleasure to spaz out to the expert songs now rather than a frustrating experience.

Everything seems precise and it is excellent quality for the price - it cost me just over £20 including p+p to the UK and it feels built to last.

This will beathe new life into your DDRing.

The ignition3s may be good but they shame me because red octane switched to ITG instead of DDR.

and St00pidbaka's mod guide (Originally Rychan's) works very well Id advise people use it.

Soft foam. Ehhhhhhhhhhh....

Okay Pad.
These pads aren't as great as other Ignitions but are still pretty good pads. I reccomend you take out the foam as it's flimsy and cheap and replace it with a panel of wood instead and leave it zipped up. It'll make your pad last longer.

For the price, These things rock.
Current time of ownership: 2 weeks, I’m really impressed with these mats. They have completely for filled my expectations of a soft mat and most of the problems/dislikes I have had were to be expected but as I said, for the price there’s no comparison.

Problems or dislikes I have had are: (mind you, I play on heavy doing 8-9fters)

-The underneath of the mat starting to tear. By this I mean the inside (unzipped) material directly beneath the arrows. This has happened with every soft mat I've had, it would be nice if manufacturers upped the durability of this material. This doesn't affect game play though.

-The foam insert is a bit too soft for my liking but this was easily solved by cutting out a piece of hard plastic and inserting it inside the mat on top of the foam. (I used 3mm thick corrugated cardboard type plastic that comes from shipping pallets)

Despite these minor problems, great mat overall. Highly recommended.

Great Choise for the serious (and price-aware) Dancer
I bought the 2 player combo, but I guess the mats are the same, so I post my short "review" hare as well. I received my mat yesterday, so I've only tested it for a short time.

This product is pretty similar to the RedOctane Ignition2 (considered the reference among mats).

The main differences are:
This cover have a bit more "plastic" feel to it.
There is no LEDs indicating steps on this mat.
The insert foam is slightly softer.

Now let's get to the features that make me give this mat five stars:
The mat is still very stable and never bend.
The material toward the floor is the same as the ignition2 so the mat don't slip, even in the most jump-intensive moments.
The arrows are raised slightly and very nice to step on.

I recommend this mat to anyone living in the EU and don't want to spend loads of cash importing an Ignition2 from US.
