The Cha Cha Amigo Controller is for use with Samba de Amigo for the Dreamcast. The quality of the product is good and provides a suitable replacement for the official Sega Maracas controllers. The sensor detection is fairly sensitive and the manufacturer touts 3-D detection of the Maracas by the control box compared to 2-D detection on Sega's unit. The product is a great alternative that should fill the need for Samba Maracas in the market. With poor ratio of official Maracas, this product can act as Samba's saviour when demand for Maracas spikes up again.
Very happy! I have read mixed reviews of 3rd party maracas, but i got these recently and think they are great.
I can't compare them to the original maracas, but once you learn the right position the accuracy of these is 90-95% , plus the occasional problem of the cable getting in the way.
They work great with Amigo 2000 and 2 players works fine as well.

Lets Party! OK, as a brand new 'Samba De Amigo' player (sorry i took so long, lol) i wanted another maraca set for some 2-player action.
As the official sets were only availible on Ebay and going for prices well over what i was expecting to pay, i decided to give these a EMS ones a go.
When i first used them i wasn't exactly won over. Some notes weren't hitting properly and the right maraca wasn't lighting up or working very well at all.
After moving the whole console and Maraca set-up in a much bigger room, making sure everything was perfectly aligned and the sensors were straight and facing the correct way, everything started to work fine! It's also majorly important to enter the correct height of yourself in the actual game, any wrong info will literally stop the maracas from working correctly.
Overall their very good and i love the extra flashing lights. I can't help thinking the official ones would be better as they were the first to be made by the specific company who made the game itself, i'm awating the official UK box-set of the game, so cannot judge yet.
Overall? If your on a tight budget and want some two-player Samba action, you could do much worse!

Cha Cha X2 Great set of controllers. While more accurate than the official set it is worth noting that using two sets together (e.g. two player or a pair for your hands, some for the feet... hardcore) do not work well unless some serious distance (10 metres?) is put between them.

this samba set rocks this version is much more accurate then the origenal set and faster and responds alot faster to your movement!! i recommended it for everybody!!
