Heart Gold is the sequel to the Pokemon Fire Red/ Leaf green released in 2004 on Game Boy Advance. 3 years after the initial defeat of the Rocket Organization, a new hero is setting off on a new journey in the Jouto area. Receiving a pokemon from the researcher Dr. Utsugi, off you go on your adventures and meet all the pokemon and challenges.
The Rocket Organization who has been using pokemon as tools back in the Kanto area are back. What are they aiming for this time? Can you become the hero to save the day? Train your pokemon in the gyms, enter the pokemon league and duel with the gym leaders to earn badges. Aiming at the top place in the pokemon trainer world, off you go!
Train your pokemon as you walk. Take the pokemon walker with you wherever you go. The more steps you take, the more experience your pokemon become. Use the infrared device to put your strengthened pokemon into the game world in your DS.
More legendary pokemon are showing up. Tame Ho-oh, the fiery phoenix in Heart Gold.
For Old Fans and New Pokémon Gold and Silver will be familiar to many, and if you were a fan of the old games then there's plenty of reasons to revisit them in this DS remake. All the qualities of the originals are recaptured, quality day/night gameplay mechanics, apricorns and making your own pokéballs, storing phone numbers on your pokégear and listening to the radio. The game incorporates the improved plot elements from Crystal as well, which can keep things new and interesting for those who have played Gold before.
But it's not all about nostalgia. Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the most recent and most advanced pokémon games with a lot of advantages even over Platinum. The game's interface has been completely redesigned to properly utilise the touch screen, allowing the game's menu to be controlled thus, as well as some surprisingly fun "Pokéthlon" Minigames. Another neat feature revived and expanded all the way from Pokémon Yellow is the ability for one of your pokémon to follow behind you at all times. And lets face it, there's not much cooler than having a firebreathing dragon following you about town.
Another new feature which requires particular attention is the pokéwalker. Most buyers probably won't be interested in this- I certainly wasn't when I picked the game up- but have come to quite enjoy it since. The device is a pedometer similar to the old school "Pokémon Pikachu". You put a pokémon from the game into the pedometer and it walks around when you do, building up "watts". Watts can be spent on encountering wild pokémon- including some difficult to catch in the game. Then you can send all the pokémon back to the regular game and get a little experience. I have a Kangaskhan and a Rapidash on my team now that I would not have been able to catch for some time without the Pokéwalker.
The Japanese language aspects of the game may prove daunting for some, however, the script of the game is mostly preserved from the originals, and if all else fails you can usually play by memory or FAQ based on how you advanced in the original.
And of course, if you're still out to Catch 'Em All, HG will add a huge number of pokémon to your roster.
A must-have for pokémon collectors, and also a great game just to pick up if you want to enter into the series.

Good Remake It is an excellent game updated a new version for the GBA and even more accessible places for all in terms of connectivity, including besides the novelty and pokewalker as unrealistic the yellow version that you follow your pokemon.
As for the location of the legendary and almost all other events are scattered in the game longer and more exciting since its appearance for the GBA for me has been the best.
