Great
It's an old-school jump 'n run game. Nice gameplay combined with modern graphics. It's a shame that such great games were driven back in favour of boring shooters and "easy-to-play" action games for casual gamers and novices. You feel stronger and motivated when challenging hard difficulty levels and you beat it. That's what it is all about among hardcore gamers. To beat even the hardest game.

Great rework of an already great game
This version of Goku Makai Mura takes everything that was great about the first one and removes some of the annoying features of the older version, such as having to collect all 33 light rings and finding all the red chests in each level. Much more arcade in style and truer to the original games in the series.

If you're a fan of the Ghosts 'N Goblins/ Ghouls 'N Ghosts series then you'll love this 4th instalment into the cult arcade franchise.
This title is actually two games in one, with the original Goku Makai-Mura (Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins in the West) featuring a non-linear adventure style of play and the new updated version "Kai", featuring the classic layout from the originals. In Kai, you have to play through each level left to right, then again a second time around to gain access to the final boss, just as in the original games.
Updated graphics feature birght colours which look truly stunning on the PSP's screen. The language is Japanese, but in Kai mode, the language requirements are negligible.
Very much worth the $25 odd dollars.
