For the price, this is a truly incredible little product. In good light, it takes remarkably good photos and great looking video. Highly recommended. Oh, and by the way, it heats up only slightly after being on for about an hour or so. Turn it off when not in use, and you'll never have any overheating problems with the PSP Camera. An English language version of the Go!Edit software can be found on the Internet free for the downloading. Install it as if it were a downloadable game demo (in the GAMES directory), and you're good to go.

This is one great camera at first I thought it was broken because the psp wouldn't recognize it but after taking it off and putting it back on it worked and i was happy ever since.

ok i just got my camera today(took 10 day's) and was messing with it and its very nice, all i had to do was hook it on the top and that was it, but yes if any one has a "ps3 eye" for the ps3, then you know what this looks like, its the exact same quality, but yes its takes very nice pictures and video's but lighting is every thing also...

I got my psp camera and its totally awesome, I can take pics and videos on it, ive used this thing like crazy since I took it out of the box and ive put a test video on youtube and it fits their widescreen player nicely when in 480x272. Chotto Shot camera for PSP
This is one of the best deals and most creative peripherals ever made for the PSP.
It completely turned my PSP Slim into a powerful camera.
The pictures and videos it takes come out in incredible high quality.
The software that comes with is in the form of a UMD (all in japanese) but other languages can be uploaded directly onto the memory stick directly from the software's website.
I highly recommend this camera because you will find tons of uses for it and ways of revitalizing your videos and pictures.

When I opened the box I was already happy. It has a 1.3 mega pixel capture so about the quality of a cell phone. It comes with editing software which is hard to figure out but worth it. The camera has a mic on the right side of the camera which decently records sound. In the darkness the quality is bad. I mean really bad. The editing software can be used to make slideshows with videos pictures or both. You can download the english software but I wouldn't there is a chance it could brick your psp. Overall it's really good 5/5

when i got this psp camera, i thought it would break in like 2 mins but it didnt! its pretty strong and it also has a microphone! For the umd, i didnt like it because i cannot read Japaneses.

this thing is great, its smaller than i expected and it has a great variety of fun stuff in it. And for all of you that are suffering with the japanese version, search for Go Edit, its an english version that you can save onto your memory card. Now i have to buy another one for my brother. I love this thing, every psp owner should have one of these babies.

In terms of quality, the camera performs best from about 3meters away from the subject or more. The software is amazing - If you can read Japanese. I cant so thats why im a bit dissapointed with this product, I wish I had bought the european version although it is downloadable from pspfanboy.com. all in all just for the camera - the software is just a little plus - I give a 8/10 because it works well enough to impress your friends that didnt know it it exested, but only under the proper lighting, distance, etc.

I got mine yesterday!!! It works great, except in dim places you can't see much, well nothing at all now that i think about it....... but in the right light the pictures are phenomenal!!!!! As for the japanese UMD that is included i can only say that is hard at first to use (not that much) but after trying around all the menus you'll get the hang of it...

Whilst only a 1.3MP Camera is works well. Video option is great. Bear in mind software is Japanese only but if you just transfer clips to PC I am sure any editing tools would work just fine.

I just got this camera today and it's pretty cool. its nice and small. the photos and videos aren't that good when you are in a dim-lighted area because mostly nothing will show up. however when you are in a well lit area the camera quality is amazing, especially when you are outside. the UMD that comes with it, is only in japanese though, so thats a bummer. but even though its in japanese, you can still edit your videos and photos simply by pressing buttons. spend at least an hour on it and you'll get the hang of it. the video recording takes up a lot of space on your memory stick. I have a 1GB with about 616MB left. I record for about 1 minute, and the video takes up about 25 MB or something like that. the photos don't really take up a lot of space. it's better that you get a big memory stick if your going to use this camera a lot. the only thing that bothers me is that the edit software is in japanese... overall i think this is a great addition to your psp and is well worth the price tag. thanks Play-Asia.

Guys i gotta be honest, i was pretty nervous about ordering something over seas (i live in PA) and it was all worth it. Shipping for half way around the world was exactly one week. When i got the camera and put it on my PSP it didn't work at first, (nothing was wrong with the camera) but then i just wiped off the brass plates on top of my usb connector on my PSP and it worked flawlessly!! Also i wanted to say Play-Asia's customer service is the best i have ever seen; i e-mailed asking if i could figure out where my package was and i got an e-mail about the same night tell me where it was and when to expect it. damn PSP camera is SWEET!!!!!

Great addition to PSP!
I just got mine in the mail, been playing around with it. Even with out a translation its not very hard to navigate the menu since the main locations like "Edit" are in English. Its 1.3 megapixals so if your not picky about the quality and like to edit video (btw this is the most user friendly video editing software I've used). Then definitely get this! Plus it has a Mic! So if your into playing around with Talkman its better than the mic that comes with that translation game!

Worth it!
I bought this just a few days ago, it was ships to me in only 3 days. I was definitely worth every penny.

It works with any PSP and you can use it right through the PSP firmware if you have 3.00 or higher. Take as many pictures as you want and as many videos as you want and make the video as long as you want, your memory stick is the only limiting factor.

The Cam was great i got it in 9 days but it was well worth the wait but i hated waiting for it i was getting a lil upset but now i got it i realize how worth it was... awesom if anyone wonders how long it can record it can record for about 23 to 25 mins of video at a time which is great cuz phones usually record 15 seconds which sux its very nice for a 1.3 mega pixal camera its not as bad as you think it would be its pretty clear and nice if you havent ordered it i would order it now.. only thing about this camera is that if ur in the dark it doesnt show up all so well but when ur in an area with light its a perfect clear picture.. i still havent figured out the software its all japanese but i hear you can buy the software seperate in the U.S. when it comes out so i recommend getting it if ur wondering if it will not work with U.S. PSP's it does so order it now :)

Worth Every Penny
In the start i had troubles trying to get my psp to detect the attached camera. Long story short, all you have to do is clean the bronze pins. The camera quality is AWESOME when there is sufficient lighting. I honestly waited 11 days for this thing to come and i can tell you that its great. It is really small too. Makes me wish that today wasn't a rainy day.

This is the best camera I have ever had. I had a problem at the begining, but I just had to clean out the 2 little bronze things next to the usb. It has a great quality of picture and video. I have been mostly using it for video. I would recomend anyone with a psp should get this camera.

Nice accessory, but the software will be almost unusable to those of you who are not truly fluent in Japanese. The camera is nice, except it saves videos in animated jpeg, which is a less than desirable format. Also, I still haven't found a way to remove the pictures from my psp. They're like... hidden in the psp and hard to reach. Besides that, it's a very nice camera.

Yea this camera is pretty awesome... it didnt work for awhile i dunno y... i had to like take it off and put it back in like 10 times and then it started working fine and yea im having fun with it.. and its pretty cool how (i dunno if this is only on 3.0+) but u can record more than 15 secs.. i recorded up to like 7 min for a stepmania song... but yea if u carry ur psp alot get this camera O_o

I expected to buy this and only use it a couple times but I have been using this camera non-stop. It's a great little invention. Taking photos and recording video with sound is great. The little guide on the Chotto Shot program kind of reminds me of the character from Vib Ribbon. To get to the point...BUY THIS CAMERA!! You will not be dissapointed.

Quality is OUTSTANDING an amazing. even for 1.3 it LOOKS like a 3.0. But its not sutiable for non-lighted areas. when you sue night mode it gets EXTREMELEY grainy. To the point where you kinda have to squint to see the picture. But overall im a 10,000% Satasfied.

This is something u'd always use because your psp is always with you. The camera quality is good and the video quality is outstanding. Just don't get caught in the dark because there's no flash on this camera =P

It wont work for me, whenever I have the camera bolted and try to run the UMD it freezes my psp, but when I take off the camera the psp unfreezes.

I am using 2.71 SE-B.... getting the idea that I really NEED the update..but no way in hell.

Hi there,i received this Sony psp Camera last week, tooks 7 days, pretty good. IS REGION FREE ,except for the software is all in Jap. so basicaly you need to know the language to make it work, unless you press whatever buttong on the psp to shot picture and records video, and that was i did and work, you have to upgrade to software 2.82 .

Hi there, i just received the Sony psp CAMERA, chotto shot, it works perfectly, is REALY IS region free, the only problem is that the software is JAPANESE and is 2.82 your planning on buying you won't understand anything unless you know the language ,and to take pictures or film you need the software provided. BUT in all is works, i tried even do i do not understand but by pressing the buttons it works.

Did you look at mike post here?(YES it will work) it has no region code.
It works on all psp's(US,EU,JP) ALL

Camera works.
It will work in the U.S. If you have custom firmware 2.71 b" then you will be able to flash the camera prx from 2.80 to your psp. You can always put the prx files in the dh folder of devhook.

it says no region code, so it will work in the US. Use devhook to launch the UMD if u dont wanna update... It comes with 2.81 but u dont have to upgrade.
