Van Helsing is a movie about the origin of the famous vampire hunter Professor Van Helsing and the most famous of villians Count Dracula. The movie also throws in a few well known characters such as Frankenstien, the Werewolf and the Brides of Dracula.
The movie centers around Van Helsing being sent by the 'Church' to hunt down and kill Dracula. He teams up with a gypsy princess he encounters on the way whose family have been hunting the beast for centuries. Until Dracula is killed no one in the girls family can enter heaven and if the last descendent should die before this is fulfilled then all will go to hell.
