description
This special red/gold colored Gameboy Boy Micro Famicom Version has been released in Japan, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the creation of the first Nintendo Entertainment system in 2005. The back of this console is printed with the company's mascot, Mario's profile surrounded by a wreath of laurels. To commemorate this event, the shell of the system is playfully designed to mimic the appearance of the original Famicom console. This has also been the very first Game Boy Micro limited edition released and has become a very valuable collector's item.
The GB Micro supports all Game Boy Advance games no matter which release version it is and displays the graphics with a screen that is far superior to its predecessors.

What a Bargain!! This has got to be the best price I have seen for this system to date. The box itself has a great design and I can't believe how small and slick this system is.
One thing that I didn't figure out (although I should have) is that it comes with a JP/US Charger.
Also grab a screen protecter if you can because you don't want that tiny screen to be marked and scratched.

A great little console. Seriously, I love this console. It's small, it's sleek and stylish with a great retro flare. The inside box is amazing, and when I showed both console and the box to my friends, they were impressed.

This should not have failed The Micro is a great piece of hardware, if I had the money back when it launch I would've bough it. It's definately worth a buy especially at 70$. It feels good in your hands. The screen size isn't problem if that's what some are thinking. Nintendo Marketed the Micro well but it was too much when it launched.

Once hesitant, now an instant buy! I was hesitant to buy a GB micro for two years, but at 70 dollars, I was sold! It's clear that price was the reason the GB micro failed to meet expectations, as every other aspect is perfect.

It's very beautiful! This game boy has the most beautiful color. I have a GBA and a DS but GBM Famicom version is the most beautiful and handheld.

Pretty... and more First thing I thought when I got mine was... wow this box is beautiful, then after opening the box, I was amazed even more, the great people at Nintendo have designed the box with a retro flare that gave me a nostalgic moment. Enough about the box, the GBA Micro is just insanely small, and this one is a beauty! I suggest getting the screen protector with it however because unlike the SP the screen is asking to get scratched

Very nice, best GBA out there.. I have a DS and all and I could play GBA games on my DS but I just don't like how the DS is so bulky in my pocket. Plus it's hard to put away if your on a train or etc. So most of the time I play my portable games at home. But with the GBA Micro, I can play games without hassle. Plus the Famicom version looks incredible.

Great, and Shiny Well, only after receiving the product I realised that the charger is not the same as the DS Lite. However, even with this minor issue, it's a fantastic product, and much more metallicy than I expected.
Great delivery times, and a great product.

Just got one to play... All I can say is I'm very pleased with my purchase. It came just in time and very well packaged. The unit works flawlessly and now I can finally stop carrying my Fat DS just to play GBA games!

No title This one is a real beauty. I won't use it for playing, it will sit on a shelf. The red is more like a claret-red or dark ruby and it looks stunishing.
It would be a pity to scratch it, so I sincerely hope that Silicon Cover and Screen Protector will be available again, even smallest quantities will be fine with me.
Thank you so much for this great Easter-ready opportunity.

batteries and accessories? i'd love to buy this as a second micro (and just because it's worth collecting), but wonder if play-asia is going to start carrying game boy micro replacement batteries again? these things are getting less and less support now with the DS being so popular.
Stylish gadget and not a toy Black GameBoy Micro seems to be the best looking of them all.
The pure blackness and simplicity of design make it look like a stylish gadget. Unlike beautiful, but childish Famicom, the black Micro is not to be mistaken with a toy. More likely it will be mistaken with a phone.
If you think about Micro in black, I can't recommend it enough.

No title It's really beautiful, lightweight, brighter; only drawback is, retrocompatibility isn't incluse in this model, instead previous GBA incarnations. If you don't play oldies, this is the best GBA in existence.

Micro Masterpiece I sold my original Famicom version Gameboy micro to go towards my PSP. While the PSP was worth it, I couldn't resist getting one of these again for this price! Worth getting one again just for Advance Wars, never mind all the cool retro games available for it (Final fantasy, Mario Bros, the famicom series, etc) which are now dropping in price. Class!!
