I found a cool app called ConvertHQ Premium, it converts to Play-Yan directly. neato.

The best media player for GBA and DS!
I got mine couple of years ago, and I still use it daily! On the bus, coffee break, long trips... You name it!
I had a hard time trying to work things out at first, since all documentation was in japanese. On top of that, I use Linux as operating system on my desktop computer.

There are definitely better and less expensive devices that are available on the internet. I regret buying this without doing more research about home-brew on the web. I would not recommend this product.

one disadvantage
You won't read this anywhere else, but the play yan micro only supports sd cards up to 1gb. =[
