Great for Fallout 3 fans Never mind the people who may ask why you buy a physical guide when you could get the same information or more online. I bought the book and in actuality, it resembles an encyclopedia tome on all official Fallout 3 stuff. I previously got the collector's edition for the first version of the guide, and the GOTY edition has been revamped in places. New and additional information on the Fallout 3 DLCs are available and integrated together with the existing guide.
Some of the highlights of the GOTY guide consist of Chapter 3 Wasteland Census and Chapter 4 Wasteland Gear. Descriptions of each wastelander and weapons that appear in the game are accompanied with pictures, making this a much more visual database than the previous guide. For those that complained about the non-existence of an index that plagued the previous edition, well now there is an A-Z reference index for information on quests, people, weapons and items that can be hard to find in this huge book. I have read through the book for mistakes that were pointed out in the previous edition, and I'm pleased to find that they have been corrected in this edition.
In conclusion, I have certainly enjoyed reading through this book, whether for using it for strategies when playing the game or just reading it at leisure. This is one guide that no die-hard Fallout 3 fan should miss.
