A Good Alternative
I also have the official PS2 component cables and while these may be slightly physically different from the originals, I couldn't notice any difference in the video quality. Since the originals seem to be harder to find, these would be a good alternate choice.

Good Quality at Low Price
For the person who looking for component cable and think the official is so expensive.
This cable is the another choice. I used to buy cheaper component cable and got unfit joint(between cable and console). I have to push my strength to plug it.

But this cable has no such a problem.

Didn't work

Not as described
The reason I am disappointed about this product is that play-asia is showing a picture of gold plated cables here and in fact the cable that I received was same as I was having the one from the other site. It is steel plated and not gold. So no point in wasting money if u are buying this for gold plated reason. Play-asia should change the picture and show the real picture of the cable. The cable works fine, no issues with its performance, but I wanted to see how the gold plated ones work and what's the difference and that's why I ordered these particularly.

Great cables for HD support on PS2.
There are lot of games on PS2 that will give you amazing HD resolution when using component cable. Games like Burnout series and God of War series supports progressive 480p HD resolution. You have to press triangle and X at the loading scree,

Great value for money
For such a cheap product, it's amazing what a big difference in visual quality it makes. I just upgraded to a HDTV and I was dismayed with the terrible visual quality of my PS2's graphics while using the stock composite cables. The graphics aren't HD with component of course, but these component cables really improved the visual quality compared to the crappy composite cables.

Works Like A Charm
I've received this yesterday and I am quite impressed. Though it come only in plastic packaging, the quality of the cable is quite good. I tried it on my standard television set with component input and played NBA Live 08 on PS2 and I was blown with the result. The colors are more vivid and the lines on the graphics are more defined.

I was hesitant to buy this because of the negative reviews they have on this but I took a gamble and it paid off. The quality is good and the price is a steal.

Great cables.
Using this to connect my ps2 to my LCD TV. Display is in 480i. Much clearer than using the AV cable.

For those complaining of poor quality connecting ps3, this is MEANT for PS2. PS3 uses HDMI for best result. This cable is GREAT for PS2.

I bought and used on my ps3 with SD TV. Sometimes I have not seen the yellow colour on my screen. Especially parasites were on my screen when I decrease or increase the light of room with regulater. Then, I bought the original component cable of Sony, it is great quality... No parasites, more clear colours...

this is the worse
i've tried this cable and i have to say that i'm not satisfied with it
the cable came without any box or packaging, and the cable itself has loose ends, like the head of the cable came off easily
and the image that is produced has no difference whatsoever with normal AV cable

Very good, but be careful.
This product is good but...
This cable is for HD games (480p compatible, like guitar hero II). If you use it with a game that isn't compatible with 480p mode on a LCD TV, the quality won't be the best. BUT that will be the best quality you will reach on a LCD TV with NON-COMPATIBLE 480p GAMES.
People who has played games on a HDTV with a traditional cables (compose or RGB) probabily know what i'm talking about. The PS2 was not initially designed for LCD TVs :(
Note: I don't know if the plasma TVs has the same problem.

Component AV Cable
Very good and satisfactory. It shipped and came without any problems and on time. But i have disappointed with cable length. Its written as 2.5 meter in the features of product but it came as 1 meter. I need an extension cable now. I reccomend all PS2 users. Somewhat noisy compared to the Sony cables
I've got an official Sony cable as well and the difference between the 3rd party and the official cable is quite alarming in terms of picture quality, the 3rd party cable being a lot noiser (rather blurry even on a PS3 @ 1080i). Not too bad considering it's price but if you have an LCD TV or a large screen you're better off looking for something better. I'm using this for my PS2 (the official one goes to the PS3 instead).

Excellent cable
Bought this cable in late December 2006 to hook up my Wii to a Samsung LCD HDTV. What a great improvement in picture sharpness and color clarity from the composite cables that came with Wii. Have been using these cables for 3+ months now with no complaints.
