question Does this cable support VGA out? I want to get it to use with my PS3 to connect to my LCD monitor. Sony does not make a VGA out cable yet for the PS3 so this looked like a good bet, however the description is not really specific enough. So, does this cable support VGA out for a PS2/PS3? Thanks.

No title Thanks for your review tolu.talabi if it does handle optical out with xbox 1 then there is no real point to it! just wonder has anyone tested to see if this wire allows xbox 1 to run in HD thank you.

Wrong advertising The cable says it's a multi-console component cable with optical audio out. And that is only partially true. What it doesn't tell you is that while it has three inputs (for PS2, XBOX, and xbox 360), it only has an optical output for the xbox 360. So the cable doesn't support Dolby digital 5.1, DTS or any digital audio output for the xbox.
The PS2 is not a problem because the optical out for the ps2 is on the console body, but the xbox is a problem because once you use this cable, you lose the ability to get digital sound from your xbox.
Besides that slight oversight which was the ONLY reason I got these cables, the cables are fine.
