Great if you own an LCD/plasma HDTV!
I'm living in The Netherlands (Holland, Europe) and ordered this cable on Saturday. The next Saturday it was delivered! Incredibly fast and very secure packed.
Then about the cable: I own a Sony 26 inch LCD HDTV and the signal quality of the standard composite cable that came with the PS2 (PAL version) was very bad. The colors were bleeding and the graphics looked like you were playing Nintendo 64 games (well, not THAT bad, but you understand what I'm talking about).
I bought this cable and connected it to the component inputs on my tv. I put the PS2 on and saw that it was alright!
The cable enables the 575i mode on your tv. The graphics are much sharper and more colorful now. Gran Turismo looks awesome again (in PS2 terms that is), Shadow of the Colossus can be played in 480p Progressive Scan mode and I am a happy PS2 owner again!
When you buy this cable you will receive it in a soft plastic box (original Sony packaging) with Japanese (at least, I think it is) description. However, it works perfectly on the PAL PS2. The connector fits perfectly in the Multi-out on the back of the PS2.
I also bought the YPbPr Power Box from Farmer (also here at Play-Asia.com. That is recommended if you are going to buy an Xbox360 in the near future. The quality is, as said by others, indeed 100% the same!
