Dragon Quest IX score
This score is really wonderful. I enjoy listening to it even while cleaning or driving in the car. It is inspirational and the clarity is excellent.

Dragon Quest IX Soundtrack
Longtime fans of the Dragon Quest franchise of music will not be disappointed with Koichi Sugiyama's latest compositions. At the same time, newcomers to the franchise may be pleasantly surprised. The music sets a wonderful mood that is both charming and appropriate. I can't think of any of the melodies off-hand that I dislike.
The track names may be a bit generic in nature, but for a CRPG, they convey all the information you need to know. Village, Cave, Boat, or just wandering the overworld, there's no question as to when in the game each piece is played, and they fit so well.
People looking for Final Fantasy may be a little disappointed. Even though they're both RPGs, the music style is vastly different.
