Persona 4 is a game that combines many elements together, it is an RPG with suspense adventure, a complex web of personal relationships and plot lines as well as multiple endings, it surpasses its predecessors by having a smoother interface while retaining the series' existing attractions.
Style and elegance are very important elements in Persona, and in this newest installment, a sense of modernity is emphasized. This feel is portrayed through the game by featuring modern media elements like teen idols and television, and to suit this glamorous atmosphere, the soundtrack makes use of memorable vocals and strong beat music.
現代を舞台にした完全オリジナル作品「ペルソナ4」。RPGというジャンルでありながら“推理サスペンス”を題材にした本作の謎解きと冒険の果てにプレイヤーを待ち受けるのは、前作を超えるマルチエンディング。前作に引き続き、キャラクターデザイン＆アートディレクションは副島成記が担当。グラフィカルなインターフェースに更なる磨きをかけ、ゲームシステムは更にテンポアップ。しかし、やり込めばやり込むだけ面白い「ペルソナ」のゲーム性も健在。
サウンドコンポーザーは、「ペルソナ」シリーズのサウンドクリエイターとして歴代の作品のBGMを手がけてきた目黒将司。前作「ペルソナ3」では“真に現代的なBGMを”という狙いからボーカル付のサウンドをメインに押し出すという手法に挑戦したが、本作でも“まさに現代的”と言える数々のサウンドを手がける。
