I must say that this newer Playstation 2 really is a lot more silent then the firs model. I didnt knew that it would be such a difference but its really awesome. The colour Midnight Blue looks great. Another great console for my collection thanks to PlayAsia. I must say this is my second order at PlayAsia and it wont be the last. The service is awesome and shipping super quick. I highly recommend PlayAsia to all game collectors like me. They make a great package and also include extra items. Thanks once again to PlayAsia!!

With the recent $30 price drop, there is even more of a reason why to purchase this system over the other PS2 variants.

Made my purchase on the weekend, and received it on the following Tuesday. Very very fast shipping.

There are also alot more Japanese RPG games that utilize the HDD than their North American counterparts. Again, faster loading times is one of them. You can also use the HDD has a giant save folder, so you can move saves to/from your memory cards if you don't have room on them.

The BB Navigator program is also aesthetically superior to the standard PS2 browser, although you have to know Japanese to navigate your way through it.

All in all, a very nice system. The system is really that much more quiet compared to the older generation systems.

Awesome sexy system
I wanted a colored PS2 when I ordered an import so I bought this beautiful system. I only have one game utalizing the HDD so far, FFX International, which cuts off load times.
