The PlayStation2™ Console is a new and slimer PlayStation2™ model. Due to internal structure improvements, the volume of the machine has been reduced by 75% and the weight been optimized to approx. 900g only.
The PlayStation2 Console Charcoal Black includes a built-in network connector (100BASE-TX/10BASE-T) but no longer features harddrive support. Also due to design and technical changes, previous Multitap as well as Vertical Stand models are no longer suitable for this model.
Besides from this, the updated PlayStation2™ still plays back all PlayStation2™ and PlayStation2™ games (Japanese region encoded titles only) as well as DVD movies (Region 2 NTSC only!).
I'm glad I got one of these while it was still available. It's very nice looking! I'll have to customize the buttons so that they're white instead of black, but eh.

PS2 Console Pink I absolutely love this PS2! The console and the controller have a much more "glossed over" feeling than the traditional PS2. Not to mention the color makes it pretty adorable (as "adorable" as a video game console can get, anyway).
I originally had second thoughts about buying a Japanese console, but after I got it I'm so glad that I did.

Pinky-winky I love this PS2! It's so small and shiny. Plus, I love the fact that it's pink.
