Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is the long-awaited image work sequel to the top selling PlayStation software that was launched in January 1997.
Nobuo Uematsu, the composer of the Final Fantasy Series has been in charge of this soundtrack album. As for most titles in the series, the music is an inevitable part of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Included are past works from the original plus lots of newly-written songs that are introduced for the movie sequel.
The Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Original Soundtrack album is coming in a set of two discs.
Fun music Before I start this review, let me say that I am an ultra FF7 fan and have seen the movie several times.
With that said, the music to advent children is fan service at its best. It mixes orchestrated versions of old final fantasy songs with new songs by series staple Nobuo Uematsu and a couple songs by other artists. Overall, I know that this soundtrack is available on digital download services, but it is definitely worth the extra cost to add a hard copy of this cd to your collection.

Sugoi!! This soundtrack is absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I can't describe with words how amazing this soundtrack is. I can only say that if you liked the movie, and enjoy listening to good music, you'll enjoy this, doubtless. Import this now!

KAUFEN, KAUFEN, KAUFEN!!!

Final Fantasy Vii Advent Children OST For those who have only discovered FF7 through its spectacular movie FF7: Advent Children, this 2-disc CD compilation provides a more than satisfying accompaniment aurally. For those who are familiar with this highly popular title, this CD is a fitting complement to the other soundtracks in the Final Fantasy series. Nonuo Uematsu whose work is synonymous with this universe, returns with an updated version of the famous music tracks of the game. However, included are new surprises that add depth and power to the movie's already mesmerising appeal.
Choral tracks run shoulders with pounding percussion and synthesisers, while interspersed among them are gentle, haunting piano themes, most notably Aerith's Theme. And the final track 'Calling' by Kyosuke Himuro is a delightful vocal piece that carries you away as though riding with Cloud as he heads off into the world. Incidentally, this song came out at the same time as the game in 1989 but it still holds all its power. Despite its at times recycled contents, this CD is still worth its weight in gold. A musical tribute to a visually stunning movie, it certainly deserves its space in the favourites section on your CD shelf.

Boyfriend loves it I'm not the type to listen to any game music for fun but I'm a major fan of the FF series, . The music is good and there's a lot of orchestra. My boyfriend loves the CD and it's a great item if you're a fan of the FF series.

Soundtracks kick butt I ordered it for Christmas and, having the original soundtrack to remember by, there are a lot of familiar pieces in it that are souped up to the max. I albsolutely love it, not to mention the recent One-Winged Angel is the best version I've ever heard.

Brilliant Soundtrack The orchestral arrangements of the FFVII tracks are brilliant. The music exclusive to Advent Children is equally as good and a facntastic addition to any Final Fantasy fan's music collection.

Dang, I love this. Man, I am listening to some of it's beautiful music right now and I must say it's the best soundtrack ever for a final fantasy movie. And I just can't wait for the movie to come out. I've been trying to picture out what kind of scenes would go along with this music. But good job, Uematsu.

Great soundtrack I like this one almost as most as the Casshern soundtrack. It's Final Fantasy VII, Black Mages and then some. I have a winning formula as well for listening to it: Disk one for studying, Disk two for cycling. Not only will you pass your exams, you'll get there ten minutes earlier ;)

Breath Taking... Should we expect anything less from the legendary Nobou Uematsu? The music, from the original songs, to the remixes done specifically for Advent Children, is nothing less then breath taking and heart pounding as it captures the spirit and the heart of the movie. It is sure to satisify all fans of Advent Children, or the Final Fantasy series in general.
Reno Fan on 01, Oct. 2005 05:04 (HKT)
Very Good! A nice OST. Has some themes from FF7 identical, others are re-arranged & eventually it has new cues. The "star" of the OST is the new version of One Winged Angel which combines orchestra + chorus + electric guitars-bass-drums! Unsual but very nice! I like also track 3 from disc 2 "For those Who Fight Further" & track 2 "For Those Who Fight".
the.wandering.tempest(1) on 30, Sep. 2005 08:48 (HKT)
Amazing, Simply Amazing Simply put, the OST for Advent Children is magnificient. Uematsu has really outdone himself once again, creating stunning new pieces of music as well as revamping vintage tracks like J-E-N-O-V-A and One-Winged Angel.
This is an absolute must-have for any fan of the Final Fantasy series.
