Building a better system from the ground up sometimes involves digging into even the most mundane components. Take memory cards, for instance. To provide larger storage capacity and faster access rates--PlayStation2 cards transfer data 200 times faster than cards for the original PlayStation--PlayStation2 developers have upgraded the technology for the new memory card. The 8MB Memory Card uses Flash Memory, the storage technology that's revolutionizing handheld computers, digital cameras, and MP3 players. In contrast, the 128 KB memory cards that were designed for the original PlayStation use memory blocks. While large files can spill over several blocks, you can't store more than one file per block in that design, no matter how small the file. The 8 MB Memory Card allieviates that problem by organizing and storing files much more like a computer hard disk.
Cool memory card; photo is a little misleading I like my memory cards to have color variation, thus Sony brand memory cards are the way to go. By this I mean the colors America never sees (black, and the 2 pack only red and blue just don't cut it for me)
The card looks translucent dark blue in the picture, but from a distance, doesn't look to different than the black. If you hold it close to a light you can see it looking exactly like in the picture. A well lit room makes a fine showcase I suppose. =P

Looks Awsome on Ceramic White Pstwo This matches perfectly with the Ceramic white Pstwo. I would recommend this memory card to anyone who owns the Cereamic white Pstwo model.

Color choice Despite what Sony says, this card does not quite look right with the Pearl White PS2 system. I would recommend a different color, maybe a black one to match the power/eject buttons. It works perfectly though, of course, so 5 stars for that.
