25歳としての“今”が、ナチュラルに息づいた一枚とでも言えばいいのだろうか。もちろん持ち前の歌声が発する切なさが各曲を包み、その世界観をより鮮明にしてはいるが、トータルではポジティブで開放的なフィーリングが快い作品だ。彼女自身は経験をそのまま歌詞にすることはないとのことだが、言葉の端々やちょっとした感情の高まりからは、様々な場面での喜怒哀楽がより率直に表現されている印象も。2006年からの楽曲が収められていることもあり、今作に至るまでを深読みしたくもなるが、とにかくアーティストとしてあらたな段階に入ったことは間違いなさそう。ほぼ彼女ひとりによる音作りも、クールにしてスケール感があり、同時にヒューマンな温もりがある。

Great album
One of her strongest albums since Deep River, this has almost no filler. Until the release of her Singles Collection Vol. 2 (and probably even after it), this is an essential purchase. Get the JP version if you can afford it, otherwise this is pretty much identical.
