Admit It Admit it, Eason Chan, your new Mandarin album is a cop-out. For, with the exception of two new tunes (Elimination and Happy Boys), the rest of the Hong Konger's latest offering is a Mandarin makeover of eight tracks from his previous Cantonese release, What's Going On?. While his Mandarin dictation and renditions cannot be faulted, his reputation for being unconventional makes Admit It seem like a lame excuse. For what it is worth, his label has enlisted such credible names in the Mando composer-producer scene as Jay Chou, Vincent Fang, Lin Xi, Li Zuo Xiang and Yao Chien to give the album a Taiwan-friendly factor. That pretty much sums it up.
