Rez is a fast-action shooter that takes you deep into the world's computer network. The "Project K" Network has recently been upgraded to handle the rapid expansion of the information age and the core, known as "Eden," holds the most advanced artificial intelligence the world has ever seen. Unfortunately, Eden cannot handle the ability to create her own thoughts and buckles under the pressure in an existential breakdown. She is lost deep inside the system, and you're the only one that can bring her back online, saving the world from utter chaos. You must blast complex viruses, unlock passwords, and destroy firewall bosses as you search for Eden. Each stage is in a constant state of flux dependent on your shooting techniques, which ultimately control the music and colors of your environment. The deeper you get into the dreamlike cyber world of Rez, your form will evolve or devolve depending on your progress, and the wire-frame environments give way to rich textured worlds.

A genuinely magnificent game. This game is an absolute legend. Expertly crafted, with a world-class soundtrack and unique gameplay - not to be missed. Arguably the best game on PS2 (really, it is that good).
Unusual experience If You like music games, if You are bored with another WWII shooter, or another offroad races, if You are looking for something different, You haven' t seen yet, if You want to go high ;-) this game is for You.
Sweet game This games awesome, its based on the techno music that the whole world kinda of pulses to, and has really neat visuals. And the entire games in english, so its pretty easy to follow. At the price play-asia's selling it at, its totally worth it.

Worth the money. If said fans of the series are paying 60 to 70 USD for the American version, then surely it must be more than just a collector's item. With J releases being so cheap following U/C ones, do yourselves a favor and pick up Mizuguchi's masterpiece. Not overrated in the least bit, Rez will mystify its players by presenting something truly unique to the table; total and complete symphonic immersion.
A serious must-buy if you even consider yourself a gamer. Get it now!
BEST game EVER This is by far the best game ever....
It come with a "trance viberator"
you plug in thr trance vibe via usb on your ps2and the more you get into the levels the harder it viberates.
i was sitting on my couch playing it when my GF came over and asked what it was while i was playing i said i dunno some viberator thing that came with it.
so next thing i know she got her pants off rubbing it *you kwno where*truns out this game got me laid...
but the vibe thing even comes wit a protective cleanable skin
games, the way they should be... I have been playing this game ever since it came out on import dreamcast a few years ago, and I have probably beaten it well over 100 times now.
This game has great replay value, not to mention gameplay that unique, unlike a lot of the other junk that has come out in the past few years.
A lot of people fail to mention the story line to the game, which is pretty in depth, and has a LOT to do with it's replay value.
I normally don't take the time to do reviews or recommendations on any site, but this is $12.90 right now...if you have never played this, and you like shoot 'em ups, and can play Japan released games on your PS2, buy this, while it is still cheap and still available!
The only alternative is the US version, and it is out of print now, and goes for over $50+ on eBay used ($100+ NEW!).
Masterpiece If you own a Playstation 2, you HAVE to own Tetsuya Mizuguchi's masterpiece. Like Ico getting harder to purchase buy the day. Do yourself a favour and get this title while you can. You won't be dissapointed!
