it's deep....
Yeah, one year, and I still haven't finished Story Mode. I thought reaching 100% was enough, but I'm now up to 150% and only half of the map is completed. Get this if you are a hard core Gundam fan, it's probably the best PS2 Gundam action game around. Capcom did the programming anyway, no wonder it's so good.

WOW!
I was amazed at how much better than its Ps2 counterpart this game was! The graphics are a lot smoother and It lacks the lag that is almost constant on the ps2 during multi player and plus since its Cube there are instant, if any Loading times. The controls are a bit difficult to get used to, and you can feel that it was very roughly ported from the Ps2. The main U.C mode is ok but is really easy to beat in about 3 sit downs, but the 4 player multi player battles are amazingly fun and will keep you occupied for a very long time! In the end I would not recommend this game for a fan who is looking for a huge and deep story, But if you are just looking to get a Gundam game with fun and simple mechanics, and good multi player combat this is a must buy! And if you are trying to decide between the two versions the Cube one is definitely the better choice.

No title
I definitely agree that this is a great game, (points to moonmonday's review) and will keep you occupied for days on end with its "story mode feature", but the game feels a little too slow-paced... making playing this game for more than an hour at a time a bit boring... plus, the game gets a little too much repetative especially when you get the story mode...

A Truly Excellent Game
The 'versus' Gundam games have always enjoyed a high level of excellence, sporting intuitive controls, a wide selection of mobile suits, and exciting interfaces, full of seamlessly-integrated audio and character presences right from the series. This one, however, excels even past the previous entries in the series, making it possible not only to play a massive variety of suits, from 0079 to the end of Zeta (with a few secret suits in there too), but also play as different characters, in different situations, and even in your own custom situations, versus a friend or the computer. Thankfully, the versus series takes into account that not all of us have someone waiting around at any given time, to play a game we might like.

Further, this game features a timeline mode in which your contribution to the story in completing the levels actually has a real, material impact on how they unfold. If you can do it, you can change the story. People can survive who didn't otherwise. Others might take an entirely different path in life and end up working for another group. It's all up to you, with hundreds of missions to keep you occupied. It's truly amazing and fun for anyone, fan or not, to be interested by and enjoy this game. It's even more exciting when you're a fan, though, and can play with the various possibilities, saving the characters you love and preventing tragedy, or perhaps punishing the characters you don't like. It's really up to you, as is the choice of mobile suit, upgrades, and strategy. You call the shots.

Any Gundam fan should absolutely get this game, and mech fans will find a lot to like here as well, regardless of whether or not they're familiar with the material. I would imagine if you enjoy fun, well-done mech games, this would keep you occupied for days upon days. For you Gundam fans out there, it features all the music you know and love, including many vocal numbers, played on the appropriate stages! You really can't go wrong with this absolute masterpiece of a game.
