Sakura Taisen V Episode 0: Samurai Girl of Wild is Sega's popular classic series "Sakura Taisen"s latest addition. The player controls a female character that is destined to be the heroine of the upcoming "V", Gemini Sunrise. Journey forth with this Texas-born cowgirl, and experience together this continent crossing tour from her hometown to New York.
In this game, in order to challenge the smooth feeling during combat presented by ARMS and new limits of 3D performance, the production team decided to fix the genre as action, so as to allow for a performance melding 2D and 3D directly exciting the senses, a la the "Sakura Taisen" way.
And now the player has to dismount the Koubu and ride a horse! A story surrounding the main character, Gemini, and her favorite mount, Larry, there is now stronger potential and a sensation of speed, with the smoothness displayed in riding tricks that only a rider and her horse as one can accomplish.
Although it is now an action game, the charm exuded in Sakura plots has not diminished in any way. Like the word "dramatic", performance equal to if not surpass the past works.
The plot segments are displayed in the customary screens as in previous works, using 2D images to exhibit all the emotions of the characters. As for the agitating combat performances, stand-out 3D images are used to raise adrenaline levels. Other that these, the trademark system that the series has never run without, LIPS (Live & Interactive Picture System, allowing for rich emotion expression, is of course included, letting the player immerse in Geminis interactions with other people.
The production team for this work encompasses all the major members of the series. Led by overall producer, Hiroi Ohji, the original design is done by Fujishima Kohsuke, while main design is handled by Matsubara Hidenori. The scenario producer is still Akahori Satoru and all the songs are all new songs written and produced by Tanaka Kouhei.
In order to inject new life into the mature series, "Sakura Taisen", almost all characters in this game, including Gemini Sunrise, are newly created ones. Powered by all new characters, and successfully melding "Sakura Taisen" with the worldview of America in the 1920s, bringing plot developments that absorb gamers. One can hardly get tired of all these new stuff.
Good game This is a good game done in the Dynasty warrios/ Samurai warrios style but set in the American West and done entirly on horse back. A lot of fun, I say get it.

BUY THIS !!! This is a famous and lovely game for all fans from "SAKURA WARS". It's also easy to play for all non-japanese because there are only rare question/answer-places. It's more an action-game but it's make so much fun and you get playable bonus-charakters, a musicbox and much more...
I LOVE THIS GAME !!!
Hmmm.... This game, really isnt your typical Sakura Wars game. This is more like Dynasty Warriors where you run around on the filed with your horse slashing and smashing enemies in your object, picking up power ups along the way. This is game is somewhat good, but it doesnt have enough to do. The story is alright. The graphics are very good. The characters are wonderful. The music, is okay if you like those old western games. There are a few things to unlock in this game to try and give you some replay value but even after that, you still may just toss this to the side after one play through. The extras arent bad, its just that dont make the game worthy of playing again. If you're a hardcore Sakura Wars fan, then you might enjoy this title, just to know the story and other characters. If you're considering picking up this game, remember chances are you wont be playing it that much. However, I did love this game and I still though, but others may not feel the same way.
