Big, brutal, bodacious, bawdy, bad-ass Buddhist!
This movie was a complete shock to me, since it was sent as a gift with no explanation at all - and I loved it! Andy Lau is brilliant, Cecilia Cheung is heartbreaking, and Director's Johnnie To and Wai Ka-Fai mix comic book action with Zen mysticism and sappy romance... and it all works! I never would have seen this movie if it hadn't been forced upon me. But it showed me that you can't judge a book, (or a dvd), by its cover. Get it!
