i have all the consoles, i love this the best i own a ps3,ps2,ps1,wii,gc,n64,superfamicom,famicom,saturn, pc engine,xbox etc. and this is my favorite console of all time. the games, the gadgets, it was a technological marvel in its heydays. i miss sega alot, hope they will make consoles again in the near future :)

this 128bit power house may not be getting much attention nowadays but doggonit its sttill the greatest so take a hammer to your playstation and order this great console. infinity stars!!!!!!
Dreamcast is the best ever The dreamcast totaly rules it is easily the best console ever. i never had the money to by a videogame console. when i was little I fell in love with sonic since than i been a sega fan i always hated how nes. Was always on top. SEGA always was the best in my book it just didnt have the money and the power to stand up to the cheap nes not to say that nes sucks but it was cheap and in some ways superior to sega though minnor differences. The dreamcast was and is the next generation of gamming and started it all. Later on the x-box stole it's idenity and with it hyped up computer software stupid typical americans fall prey to the sort of thing do to there egos and their jealousy and envy of the japanese destroyed Dreamcat name in america. So it never reach it true potienal in the us market it not hard in japan they praticaly breathe videogames It is culutural not just veiw as dolar signs. The Dreamcast was simple, original, powerful with great quality and potintal. Because of this it constricted with no limits. It keep pepole fome complaning about every little thing so americans didn't like it. They got have a game consule do every thing hell with your Xbox you dont need a computer anymore. No self independence what so ever no individuality and that what americans call freedom. So since i dont speak japanese im screwed but i think the dreamcast sould make a come back and crush them all. With full power of the japanese market behide it with the us cosent. I dont compltley think that it is the consumer i belive this ocured because american businessmen fear it potiental. Its to Authentic for their taste.
DC still remains a classic This was my first console- And I loved it. The graphics can still be matched to current gen, and the controller is very comfy. Xbox gamers will be reminicient of the predecessor of the Controller S; PS2 fans can appreciate the colour-bled graphics, and Nintendo gamers can browse around the great titles on offer. Although it is not in service now, Dreamcast Online was what started it all, and Xbox Live would be, well, non existent. My DC is a little cranky from time to time, but after hours of Resi 4 or Burnout 3, I like to sit down with my DC, and play Sonic Adventure 2. For me, this is the definitive console that really did start it all- it's a bit like the McLaren F1 against the Bugatti Veyron; there would have been no contender for the fastest car in the world if McLaren hadn't bothered- and one thing is for sure-Sega's last console will never be forgotten.
This is really a good console. I really loved all the fun i had on my dreamcast, but perhaps its for the better that they are purely concentrating on games... Its alot easier this way as we won't have to get seperate consoles for everything and it also means that more money would go into games as they won't have to spend on console development anymore

I've never understood why SEGA was behind theircompetitors but one for sure: Everybody who was trusting the company saw who is really best - PHANTASY STAR 1 - 4 was everytime better than FINAL FANTASY 1-6, SHINOBI was unreached in the MEGA DRIVE-times and many more.
Firms like Konami and EA maybe Square too was guild that the Dreamcast couldn't live longer. The Machine has big Qualitys!!! The proof - Games exists on PSII and Dreamcast where better on Dreamcast! And the PSII it's better than Gamecube. So the Dreamcast could exist besides the new consoles...

Exceptional and unbeatable The Sega Dreamcast is the greatest console ever produced so far, it's 3d is absolutely superb and it seems to effortlessly display bright vivid colours.The colour palette of the Dreamcast is only matched by Nintendo's gamecube and even then the gamecube's output's are nowhere near as good as the Dreamcast's VGA and RGB output's.Do yourself a favour and plug into a Sega!!Hehe!!
TRADGIC THAT SEGA'S BEST EFFORT GOES UNNOTICED May have been short lived but every moment was incredible, all at a time when Sony was struggling to find it's footing.
Praise be to Sega and their Dreamcast basically what the above reviewer said. I love my Dreamcast and wouldnt trade it for any other console out there. Ever.
