An email arrives Misaki's mobile and shocks her with the sender's name, Mai, her best friend who disappeared for a long time. Together with Mai's boy friend, Wataru, they decide to search her and track a mysterious building where they find Ryo, a scientist who tries to contact spirits with her discovery, the "Ghost System". Mai is found out as one of the experiment, but something out there looses control...

Terrifyingly provocative.
A movie that questions your very existence, are we alone in the world? what happens when we die, the Ghost System is a brilliant new approach on japanese ghost stories, it has some familiar images from 'Ringu' but the movie is completley different and much better, one of the best movies you will see all year, 10/10, brilliant!
