故事敘述擁有絕大力量的魔王遠呂智降臨大地，扭曲時空，將三國的世界與戰國的世界融合一起，挑戰三國和戰國的英雄們。遠呂智趁著混亂，不斷的打倒三國和戰國的各個勢力，並逐漸的掌握該世界。有些英雄選擇加入遠呂智軍，有些則以打倒遠呂智軍為目標，由此發展出全新的故事劇情。

this game is absolutely amazing. the storyline is fantastic and the game play got speeded up too, making it a more than ever slashing game. there are over 79 characters to choose from. I can't wait for the next dynasty warriors game on PS3
