Great online co-op saves this game Ignore the hype about realism. This is a game. Challenging and punishing. But it's still just a game. The difference about this game is that it requires patience, planning and teamwork. Running and gunning will get you very dead very quick. This game is not for the casual FPS nut who likes to lone wolf through games blasting everything that moves. The single player campaign is adequate but lacking in refinement, and your AI squadmates are down right annoying most of time. This game is best played in the online-co-op mode with friends controling your squadmates. The game then truely comes alive and is intense, rewarding and fun to play, if a little repetative. You will spend most of your time running to various locations to execute your orders, and half the time you will decide to just avoid contact with the enemy until its absolutely necessary. And therin lies the heart of this game. Having the dicipline to play tactically, keep a cool head and not give in to that C.O.D conditioned trigger finger. If you can do that then this game is a joy to play.The other online modes fall into more familiar modes but are equally entertaining and worth playing. Though be warned, there are some frustrating glitches, such as checkpoints that don't work, and events that don't trigger, causing you to revert to previous saves.
Worth getting, the fact its not a run and gun type of shooter makes it better. You think more before you do its realism. Honestly, the game is something I have been waiting for like GRAW and GRAW 2, you have to think more tactically. But this game is more of concentrate, take your time and complete your objectives. I like the realism in this game. From my point of view of currently being in the military. I personally know that not everything is pray and spray, its more organized, planned out and executed properly. So this game is a plus on my side because i can relate to it. Cons are definitely the AI in the game. Other than that i recommend it for people who like to think tactical and appreciate what you are doing in the game vice get through it and be disappointed. Now if you want more run and gun pray and spray and grenade the hell out of everything, then i would recommend more towards COD: MW2. Thats more of a game you would think tactically but it wouldn't be slow paced. Basically it comes down to this, get this game if you like planning out attacks, If your the type that likes to run through the game, get COD:MW2. Personally I'm both types...
Great game the atmosphere of this game is excellent since it emphasises on realism. the graphics are amazing and the hardcore level gives quite a challenge. the downside for this game is that the campaign mode is just too short. I was hoping for a long and escalating campaign. gameplay controls took a time to understand since the tutorials weren't clear.
But overall this game still gives you a challenge.
