Based off the manga created by Garon Tsuchiya and Nobuaki Minegishi, this thriller won the Grand Jury prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. The director, Chan-wook Park, later created the movies Sympathy for Mr. Vengance and Sympathy for Lady Vengance, both must see movies.
Oh Dae-su was once an average person. He had no known enamies, his family was alive, and was wasn't being lead on a puzzle of his lifetime. But that was 15 years ago, before he was kidnapped and imprisoned in a small room where his only friend is the TV. Suddenly released, he searches for who, and why, he was put in that small room for all those years.
