- Controlling Mario is simple with the Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™. Players move Mario with the Control Stick and shake the Wii Remote to perform a spin move or cue stars that launch him to and from planetary objects. Highly Recommended
Mario is a game almost mandatory when you have a Nintendo console, then what about the excellent Mario Galaxy. The game art is beautiful as well as the soundtrack, and gameplay as well as making optimal use of the Wiimote and quite different from what we have been presented in previous games. Highly recommended!

Best game on Wii!
Super Mario Galaxy is by far the best game available on Wii!
The game, the graphics, the music, the story, and all the characters are all fantastic!
I bought this after playing through Super Mario Galaxy 2 to play this a second time, but in Japanese. There appears to be no regional differences other than galaxy names. I actually like this game much better than Super Mario Galaxy 2 for many reasons. One, the game was new an completely original filled with imagination and creativity. Two, the stage selection is similar to Super Mario 64 by running around a large area to visit different stages where as in the second one, it is a lame stage select screen like New Super Mario Bros. Third, after many years, Mario finally has the ice suit which has always been my personal favorite.
You only need 64 stars to finish the game (I think), but there are several other stages and challenges afterwards with epic visuals, intense boss battles, and exciting worlds.
This game suffers from only 2 flaws. The first flaw is the camera. It commonly goes in places you don't want it to go, but you have no control over moving it to a desirable position sometimes. The second flaw is like with all Wii games, you are stuck with the lousy Wii remote which some people may actually like. I despise motion controls, but this game doesn't bother me too much with it. It would be so much better if you could just use the control stick or use a Gamecube controller.
The bottom line, this is the absolute best thing on the Wii and I recommend anyone who owns a Wii buy this game. Just a few more months until the Wii U comes out for us to play through Super Mario's new adventure!

Out of This World Experience
Not your conventional kind of game and you would expect that from Nintendo. Love the way the game was design where you move from 'planet to planet' to explore the world that is Mario Galaxy. You should get it since now its on Nintendo Select range.

Super Mario Galaxy isn't just a good Mario Game on Wii. It brings a whole new dimension to the Mario franchise with the gravity gameplay.
PROS: Every aspect of the game is well done, the controls, camera, and pacing. Your challenges goes from 2D parts to insane physics.
CONS: None. Maybe they should have tried to use more motion control, but that's being bitchy about it.

Super Mario Galaxy reminded me of Super Mario 64, who enjoyed Super Mario 64 Super Mario Galaxy will love! The gameplay is very good and simple, the difficulty increases gradually in a smooth and very good.
Luigi is also in Super Mario Galaxy and the gameplay changes a bit with him and also very curious. The story and graphics of Super Mario Galaxy are wonderful! First rat quality all the way. Such an enjoyable experience. I would recommend holding off on a purchase at this point in time however. With the sequel coming out in less than two months, you might be more interested in picking up the newer one. There is always the chance that the price could be dropped on this title to coincide with the sequel's release, as well.

Every time a new Mario game comes out, I expect it to get stale, since they use up so many unique ideas in the previous game, but fortunately, I've never been right, and I still am not. The outer space setting, amazing physics, and crazy-yet-fun level designs prove this to be not just one of the best Mario games of all time, but one of the best games ever, period.
