Welcome to a brawl for the ages, where anything can happen, anyone can show up and all bets are off.
In multiplayer games, characters from all Nintendo universes meet up in Nintendo locales to duke it out. In the solo mode called "The Subspace Emissary," the world of Smash Bros. is invaded by an entity called the Ancient Minister and his army of creatures, called "The Primid." Normally, characters come alive in the world of Smash Bros. to do battle, then turn back into trophies when defeated. However, the Ancient Minister starts turning characters into trophies to harness their power, then detonates bombs that suck pieces of the world back into his realm of Subspace. Eventually, all the characters must work together to defeat the invading creatures from Subspace - this is accomplished by playing through side-scrolling levels.

Smashing Your Friend's Face, Always Fun
As traditional Super SMash Games, you are supposed to send opponents flying off the stages, making the game unique and fun.
The additional 3rd party characters, Snake and SOnic were the biggest surprises for me, and made me happy. And they aren't even DLC characters like most modern games.
The downside are the "Tripping" feature, a chance to get you off balance. It's not even fun, just annoying.
This game is a bit slower than the previous game, Melee, making it easier to play.
Overall, a good game. If you can look away from the tripping.

The King of Mash up Fighting genre
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a must play if you own a Wii. If you don't own a Wii, buy a Wii, just so that you can play Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This game features dozens of classic Nintendo Nintendo characters in one epic mash up fighting game. The level design is exceptionally good and the in game music is one of the best out there. You will literally never run out of new things to see. Nintendo has packed so much content into this game, it is unbelievable. The game controls are lucid, simple and effective. It is most fun when played with a second player and makes a great party game too. I highly recommend this game. Rating: 9.0/10

Satoshi-kun is a Cry-Baby
This is one of my greatest intended games! Finally a competition between the multiple mascots of the Nintendo game universe, I've been wanting this one with the top possible characters and to mainly put the hurt upon the Pokemon Trainer character Satoshi-kun, with LINK - A True Nintendo Hero and/or.. Uhm... Mascot, if you will. But it would be far more gratifying to pummel him with Zelda-hime or even Peach-hime! Don't get me wrong, I like the Pokemon games and the anime, but.. Anyway, great fighter!!

Most played game on my Wii, by far
Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been my all time most palyed Wii game... and I'm still playing, I have had it since it was released, and years after that i'm still playing... I will probably stop playing it when Nintendo releases a new one for the Wii U.
Why do I play this game so much? because it is lots of fun to play with friends (not so much alone, cause you ahve no one to laugh with).
Killing others is really rewarding, there are a lot of possiblities in each match, lots of collectibles... So its really packed in content.
What is the game about? Well, punish other people to raise their damage and send them flying off the screen, with intuitive and simple controls its easy to play, but not so easy to master.
I'm not going to write a novel of 200 pages about this game... so i will end with one thing:
If i had to recommend one, and only one game for the Wii, this would be that game. If you have a Wii and don't have Smash... why do you have it? just sell that console and let someone else enjoy this gem.

After playing Smash DX, I expected much better
Dairantou Smash Brothers X definitely is no comparison to the superior Dairantou Smash Brothers DX for Gamecube. When I first got this game in the United States titled Super Smash Brothers Brawl, I was so excited, but quickly disappointed due to many things. To start with, characters were removed, the stage builder was very limited, the music remixes were pretty bad (out of 250 songs, I like 20 of them at most), and the difficulty was just unnecessary.
To be fair, this game is really quite good, but if you worshiped Super Smash Brother Melee on Gamecube, you will be left very disappointed. This game is highly recommended to those first starting out in the Smash Brothers series, or just not have yet played Super Smash Brothers Melee. With all this said, the only fair way I can review this game (since it can go either way), I will just be very direct using a like / dislike system.

-Battling Ridley from Metroid as 2 bosses

-Marx from Kirby should have been a boss, but wasn't
-Randomly being forced to fight Crazy Hand in Classic mode (there is no pattern wahtsoever)
-Assist trophies are the same thing as Pokeballs
-Goldeen is still the most common Pokemon you get from Pokeballs
-Computer players beat you up, then walk away while you chase and try to attack them
These are just some things I wanted to point out. I have commonly wanted to ship this game back to Nintendo and say try again because of all the things that I really felt they messed up on. But to be fair, it is a good fighting game and will take you at least 20 hours of gameplay to beat everything except getting all the challenges. So the bottom line is, Dairantou Smash Brothers X is an OK game, but is definitely no comparison for Dairantou Smash Brothers DX for Gamecube.

If you are Nintendo characters fan. Don't miss a chance to own this game. The game featuring all famous characters i.e Mario, Link, ... inc. special guest "Snake" from MGS. I can say Smash Bros. is a greatest, funniest, fighting series ever. I collect from N64 version. It's the only fighting game you can play with your family with no harm.. really work with Wiimote!!^^

The best fighting game!
I thought I'd get Super Smash Bros. Brawl for being a game sold well and by recommendations of friends and I do not regret having bought! It's a fun game because you play with every character you like best, I personally love playing with Link, he's my favorite character! In this game you can play with the GameCube controller, which greatly enhances the gameplay and makes the way to play even more fun.
In my opinion, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a game with innovative gameplay and a simple and great to play in multiplayer, like most games made by Nintendo. I highly recommend this game, and also recommend you have more than one wiimote and several friends interested in playing with you!

This game was addicting
I got this game about a month ago, and I haven't been able to put it down. So far, I have only been playing solo missions, and there are plenty of things to accomplish and unlock, which has kept me interested. It is a fast paced fighting game, and I enjoy how each character is easy to use, yet they all have their own distinct fighting style. I haven't been able to play with people online yet, but I look forward to doing that when I get my wireless internet hooked up. I would recommend this game to anyone who has a Nintendo Wii.

A great game, but not for little kids. The action is fast paced and there is a lot to do. As an adult, I love it. But, my boys (ages 5 and 8) are a bit overwhelmed. Still, I expect them to be able to master it soon enough and we will enjoy this much more in the future.
A great game, but not for little kids. The action is fast paced and there is a lot to do. As an adult, I love it. But, my boys (ages 5 and 8) are a bit overwhelmed. Still, I expect them to be able to master it soon enough and we will enjoy this much more in the future.

THE best
So good, that this is my very first Preorder that I've made and the sole reason why I've bought a Wii. I simply can't exaggerate enough how fun this game is. 35 classic and new Nintendo (3rd party included) characters pitting against each other, Smash Bros. Brawl literally shows what makes Nintendo so great to this day.

Awesome
This is a great competitive game featuring a fantastic online gameplay experience, local or online multiplayer, and content creation and sharing. (And I didn't even mention the plethora of unlockables and collectables.)

Completely amazing
One of wii's best games and, doubtlessly, the best multiplayer. Very high technical level and very worked on almost every aspect.
The biggest fault is the laggy internet connection, that makes the game almost unplayable online.
I fully recomend this title.

Beautiful Regardless
My only problems with this game is that is no Language change option like in Melee (would love to hear a Japanese Meta Knight without using the Japanese Wii) and lack of Japan only and third party characters. that out of the way Brawl is Phenomenal the graphics? stunning. The Soundtrack? Nostalgic. the fights? BRUTAL!!!! One of Nintendo's best games, and one of the best fighting games ever.

You have aproximatly 40 playable characters, 41 stages (including 9 stages from Melee like Temple !) (not including the ones that you can create with a new mode) and over 300 good tunes in the game ! With a Wifi-Mode on top of that. You must NOT miss this game if you have a Wii and I would even say that if you do not have a Wii, you must buy one for this game !

Must-have Wii game!

Super smash bros melee was the sole reason I bought a gamecube, and I loved the thing since. Pre-ordered this a month ago and arrived at my doorstep (literally) on Thursday morning! A pretty funny scenario considering that a guy plings my door bell 7:00 AM in the morning asking if I was the one that had ordered an express shipping. I just signed bill and then he just hurried away, now when I think about it on afterhand it was a pretty random, but still awesome feeling! :P

Best game in the Dairantou Smash Brothers series yet!
I've played all three games in the series and the first two can't match up to the this one. There are much more characters, features, and bonus items. Plus a whole new adventure mode to explore with an interesting story. This is the best game I've played for the Wii so far and this is a must buy for anyone!

Perfect, even for those new to the series
i was a little worried about ordering this game at first, since i had never played any of the previous smash bros games (gamecube, n64) -- however, i was pleasantly surprised with this title
the graphics are really great, by far one of the best-looking games i have seen on the nintendo wii. the adventure mode is a decent challenge and takes quite a while to complete and unlock items and characters. lots of replay value here
my favorite feature by far is the online play -- though i haven't been able to connect to random players yet, i was able to successfully add a friend code and battle online that way. i was really surprised that there was no lag at all!

The 40/40 review from Famitsu is well justified, the fighting on this game is amazing, and I've only been able to play a small part of it so far!
