Excellent Visuals!
Red Steel 2's stylish blend of shooting with swordfighting is frequently exciting and makes good use of motion controls.

Samurai's with a western cowboy twist!
Red Steel 2 right off is an amazing looking game. It's a treat to be able to have such indepth controls with beautiful graphics with such a unique setting and intriguing main character. Right off when you start a new game it draws your character tied to the back of a motorcycle being driven in a wild west desert by a maniac named Paine. Although there isnt much to the story where as its quite plain and not totally engaging, theres still enough within the main plot to want to keep going and find out whats going to happen. The controls for this game are amazing, quite responsive and just plain fun to execute. You utalize a revolver as a main weapon along with a samurai sword. Later you will be able to buy upgrades to your revolver and sword as well as buy additional weapons such as a double barrel shotgun. The enemies in the game are quite diverse although as you continue you through the game you will certainly see the same types of enemies keep coming at you. From ninjas to huge giant type characters with two handed battle hammers for instance. Although you see these same enemies it still doesnt take much away from the depth of the game which is surprising seeing on how many techniques you can learn with your guns and samurai sword. The game makes you think as a swords/gunsman...its not simply hacking and slashing. You have to think about a strategy to take down enemies, as each type of enemy has their own specific types of movements and combat techniques. For example for the giant like hammer wielding enemies you should strafe around to their back and slash at their backside rather then their front which will literally take no damage if you try and therefore by then you'll realize your mistake and be flattened by a hammer which takes a considerable amount of life away from you if you are hit by it. As i said the game makes you think and thats a plus. The longevity and replayablity of this game is not really there. I've played it through once and to tell you the truth thats enough for me. Some might want to go back into the main menu and check out the challenge mode which consists of going back to certain parts of the game and replaying it with your upgrades and whatnot. Other than that...its start a new game and do the same ol' stuff. But its fun, no doubt about that and I'm sure that when you show it off to your friends or relatives who are into gaming such as yourselves they will be impressed. My rating for this game is 3.5/5 with the downed rating due to the lack of replayablity and repetitivness of the game.

Recommend!
Red Steel 2 is a wonderful game in various ways. The graphics are very simple and suited the theme of the game, which makes the game fun to play for quite awhile. The game's soundtrack is very good and proper.
But what draws most attention is the gameplay. Using the Wii Motion Plus the gameplay has improved a lot! As you play, you really feel with a sword in hand, Ubisoft has done a wonderful game. I recommend Red Steel 2!

Great Deal and Great Game!
Red Steel 2 uses the Wiimotion plus device which adds a new dimension to gameplay. When i first started out it was tough to completely get to grips with the swordplay(the main user of the Wiimotion plus) but as time went buy I was pulling of slashes and parries with ease but I still have to master some other moves the game throws at you. That aside, Red Steel 2 is set in a futuristic-Japanese-Spaghetti Western setting which houses more than its fair share of villains ranging from your cannon fodder to men wielding giant hammers. If you can get use to the WiiMotionPlus this game will be great...5 stars.
