Just a regular game.
The controls have many lags.
The history isn't so cool.. and, sometimes is very repetitious!

controls are not that perfect as promised 'cause your moves are not transformed in realtime. You must get used to it. Visually partially nice, but in most cases quite boring.

With a normal control method this game would scream MR Average.
However with the Wii Remote, I found it bearable, the sword fights can be frustrating at times, as later fights seem to involve more trial and error than actual skill.
Shooting is ok, but will drive some people nuts. I don't think it's better than dual sticks. But for a first attempt at a Wii FPS, the results can only get better - see Metroid Prime 3.

I have tried the Pal version and since I own 2 Wii systems (1 Pal and 1 Japanese) I have decided to buy the Japanese version since it's cheap. I suggest this game to anyone since it's not hard and everybody can start to enjoy the fps.

Not Worth the DVD It's Burned On
Don't even think about buying Red Steel. It's got a host of problems; a stuttering framerate (which sometimes makes aiming with the Wii-mote impossible), stupid AI, lame plot, linear levels, weak graphics...Basically everything that makes a game good?Red Steel doesn't have it.
If you need an FPS so bad on the Wii, go get Metroid Prime 3 instead...trust me, your Wii will thank you for it/

Lets see.. I've only played about 10 minutes of the game, but then that's all you really need to experience the heavy ups an downs of this game..
Pros: This game has really good graphics. Out of most of the Wii games I've seen, this sets the bar really high. The way you use the guns / swords bring game play experience to a new level.
Cons: Lags a lot more then usually games due to surpassing visuals. Controls are very hard to use. Seems a litte on the dull side.
This game isn't really worth buying with the current pricetag. I would recommend renting, borrow from a friend or wait till the price is lower.

played it disapointingly boring
i played this game at a friends house the game startes out with this anoying girl talking to you who happens to be your girlfriend you wonder if you will ever get to kill stuff then you get a gun and disapontingly the controlles are terible i liked call of duty 3 for the wii better. red steel is ok not a great game by any means i would like to see a remake or a sequal with better controls, gameplay, and graphix multiplayer is ok if you dont mind throwing grenads at your self when aming at the enimy
