DO NOT BUY!
The plastic feels brittle and cheap. The mouse pad is even heavier than the mouse. The buttons are loose. The latest firmware doesn't even update and the tech support guys will tell you that the firmware update failure is caused by the incompatibility with the USB chipset. After a few months of using it, the R3 button stopped responding.

Not too bad...
Since I'm mainly a PC gamer, the left controller doesn't quite suit me, especially when "running" in COD4. Other than that - it's a fine unit (for the price paid IMHO). I guess keyboard lovers will still prefer a keyboard. Try the XFPS Rateup for PS3 - also available here in Play-asia.com, to hook up a keyboard and mouse (also older PS3 controllers) to your PS3.

Great Idea, but..........
Even though I read the reviews I was overly optimistic when it came to the build quality. A great idea with such poor build. The left hand "chuck" is quite good but the mouse is so poor that after one session with it I am going to have to dismantle to free up some of the buttons. Positives though- so much fun, intuitive layout, pinpoint accuracy with mouse, sensitivity control for on the fly adjustment is great. Will buy next version if build comes up to par and is wireless.

AWESOME CONCEPT
I LOVE THIS CONTROLLER!

This is just what First Person action has been missing since gen3 - I have to say that I would love to have a wireless version, but this is the best thing since sliced bread in COD4 - and pretty much everything FPS I have played with it. I don't mind the build - it could feel heavier somehow but On the positive side - it is very well thought out from a gaming perspective and the function to trigger some button actions with the sixaxis is brilliant - I think it is awesome overall - highly reccommended by other gamers I know too.

Fragfx a must have
Mixed reviews but I have to say fragfx is a great controller, Im a PC gamer, I dont like the dual shock kind. Thanks to FFX I went out and bought my first console. Takes some getting used to but overall its a must have.

poor quality
At first glance this looks like the real deal a legitimate attempt at improving the sixaxis, but as soon as you take it out of its packaging, you instantly reaslise how poorly it was manufactured.
All the buttons are lose, ALL of them. the left dongle is sticky, ie it gets stuck and doesnt reset to the middle like the sixaxis does.
The mouse buttons have dead zones, if you press them off centre it doesnt register.
theres no weight behind the mouse. feels like an empty shell and you cant adjust mouse tracking speed on the fly (like on logitech mice)

After using it for several hours and tweeking it gets kind of painstaking when the only way you can is to plug it into you computer change it. and then plug it into the PS3 to test it)

the left arrow keys are too low on the controller to make it ergonomic. i have to readjust my grip every time i want to press them.
for some unholy reason the right arrow isnt as sensitive as the other 3 on my controller, not sure if this is a batch problem or if i just got unlucky.

on the positive side. it works. sorta.
you can adjust the sensitivity of the buttons
although it isnt wireless the USB cord is plenty long.


all in all, its a poor execution of a great idea.

i dont recommend purchasing this product.
if it were worth 20 USD maybe id recommend it.
im not going to return it. rather keep playing with it, maybe i'll get use to it. or throw it at the wall from fustration and watch it shatter into the cheap plastic that it was forged from.
