Out of the HRAP, and all other Hori sticks I own (which I own almost all of them), THIS has GOT to be the best stick I ever played on. It comes with ALL sanwa parts and the layout and material they use on the stick is EXACT to the material they use here in Japan game centers. I hope this helps.

Excellent Stick - Not exactly PC compatible I got this today and am very happy with it. It is an excellent arcade stick and I agree with most of what everyone else has posted.
One thing that is not plain, however, is the PC compatibility issue. While this stick will work with Windows, there is a genuine issue wherein Windows "sees" the stick as something called a POV hat. Apparently a POV hat is a little button on the top of some flight stick type joysticks (had to look that up).
What does this mean? Well it means that you will need to download a program to remap the stick to keys on the keyboard in order to make it work with windows apps that do not recognize the stick. It works fine when this is done (and it is fairly easy to do), but it does not work flawlessly with a PC right out of the box as some seem to have implied.
Just figured I would save someone else a little frustration as this issue has come up in the past (I searched some other sites to figure it out myself), but it is not extensively documented as I assume most simply use the stick for the PS3 as it was, of course, intended.
Still an excellent product imo and PlayAsia shipped it quickly to me.

The Best Arcade Joystick for your lovely Playstation3 I bought this Sega Virtua Stick HG last week, and received it three days later via FedEx. The primary reason for buying this joystick was for the Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection Online that I purchased on Aug 1st. I was being beaten up pretty badly over the net due to the PS3's non-fighting-genre-dedicated six-axis controller. However, once I received the shipment, and got ready to give it test drive, I am very pleased with the result, it has greatly improved my online battle performance, and everything else just seems au naturelle as just playing it in arcade.
FYI, since it is a USB joystick, feel free to plug it in your PC and laptop, and it performs just like a charm with all your emulator games, such as KOF, Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown and etcs, it beats all the PC controller and joystick you've ever owned!
five star rating, no doubt, and it's made by SEGA!

SEGA FOR THE WIN What can I say, is the best stick to come out and its 10 bucks cheaper with all sanwa parts. The only thing thats a miss is no bc for PS2 games.

Best Arcade Stick for PC and for any Console I have to say that the Sega Virtua Stick High Grade is an exact replica of the actual Virtua Fighter cabinets in Japan and here in the US. I purchased the Hori Fighting Stick 3 here in the US since that was the only one available to buy, and it is crap compared to this.. A positive to this is that it is also heavy so placing it on your lap while sitting on the couch really works great. The lighter Hori models move around all over the place when on your lap and clearly become a pain..
Yes, as mentioned above you can use this with MAME on a PC and get perfect arcade feel at home.. I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV and use the Virtua Sticks with them all the time to play the classic games.. Don't miss out on getting this if they become available..

My First Joy Stick I am huge VF fan but I use to always use controller pads. But after playing VF5 I noticed that some moves were close to impossible to do. So i dove in and decided to import the VFHG. At first it was extremely hard to use but after about 2 weeks everything fell into place I now I cant imagine playing fighting games without a stick.
This stick is excellent, extremely responsive and from what I understand all the parts are Sanwa so you know its of extremely high quality. Trust me if you are VF fan or fighting game fan in general this stick is the way to go.

Re: Button layout You can easily change the button layout by changing the quick disconnects and moving them clockwise so that it resembles the normal ps button layout:
i.e. change
/\ O
[] X
to
[] /\
X O
The real beauty of quick disconnects is that you don't need to de/solder anything.

Best. Stick. Ever I am a long time capcom fighters fan, and have owned several arcade sticks over the years for many platforms. And I can tell you first hand that nothing compares to this stick. This stick is unbelievable.
It uses all Sanwa parts - JLF-TP-8Y for the stick, OBSF-30 for the buttons six main buttons, and OBSF-24 for the start button (all using quick disconnects for easy button replacement). It's so sexy and solid, and beats the hell out of the Hori Real Arcade Pro stick, which is more expensive, bulkier, and only has a sanwa stick (with Hori buttons).
Construction is solid, and it's a good weight so that the stick doesn't move around on your lap or flat surface, with great rubber feet.
This is one sweet arcade stick, and a bargain if you consider that the HRAP3 is $10 more, costs more to ship, and to buy replacement sanwa buttons would cost you an additional $15-$20.
And because it's uses USB, you can use it on PC without any drivers and it works in MAME flawlessly. The only drawback is that this stick is an analog stick, and there is no digital input mode/switch.
Rating: 10/10.

No title This stick looks like it's of very good quality. Sega did a really good job with the styling of the stick. I will be getting a second one after I get my PS3. For now I'll just use it when I go over to my friend's places.

An arcade in your home Great great great !!! This stick is by far the best arcade stick I have ever tried on any home console.
It might not work with PS2 games - but it works perfectly with both PS3 games and MAME on both PC and Mac. Very high quality.

No title This stick has a great feel and is absolutely perfect for Virtua Fighter 5. The stick and buttons are very high quality and feel pretty much exactly like the arcade version. The shape is a little unusual with a lot of room on the left, but it sits nice in your lap and is comfortable to rest your hands on.
Overall I'm very happy with my stick but two things about it disappointed me. First of all, it DOES NOT work with PS2 games. It is not advertised as working with PS2 games, and apparently neither is any non-SIXAXIS controller, but don't repeat my mistake of assuming that it will work with your PS2 games. Hopefully this will be rectified in future PS3 software updates, but that's nothing you can count on I guess...
The other thing isn't really a big deal - but the mapping of the buttons is a little funny. The four face buttons are basically turned 90 degrees counter-clockwise. A non-issue for VF5, and nothing control settings wont fix in other games - but it still seems strange when they could've easily changed the settings in the game instead.
If you're buying Virtua Fighter 5, I greatly recommend getting this stick; you won't be disappointed.
