fine, not best!
XCM Software is poor.
device can record video in lowHD (480p/576p).
I recommend Sony Vegas for 720p and 1080i picture.

fine, not best!
Everything ok, but software is poor.

okay quality for PS2
The quality of picture are fine, only that you get to see the interlace when the picture's moving. the only way that i found out on how to prevent the interlace from showing up is to set your resolution to 240i and below. 480i would make the interlace keep showing up. the speed is good, no lag whatsoever... only the interlace problem.

It's ok, but needs tweaking.
Connecting and using this device is pretty simple.
You really don't have to use the capture program included in the .rar file which contains also the drivers for this device. I tried for example VirtualDub.
Main problem with this device is those scan lines or interlacing (lines on moving things).
To fix it you have to use other program to deinterlace it. I used VirtualDub to do that. Search from Google on how to deinterlace and you should find pretty good tutorials.

As Advertised
It works exactly as advertised! Could have been perfect if it could upscale it to 1080p so that your PS2 will not be an eye sore

Not as worse as people make out, plus you get a freebie : )
First use I thought it was awful, quality was low and it didn't work as well as the original Vbox...but this was due to my setup. I only have a Wii so I cannot comment on other consoles but I was running it on Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro. So I went back to basics and installed XP ; ) the Vbox2 worked like a dream, sure the quality is not 100% but it's pretty good compared to the old Vbox. You also get a XCM Component Splitter for free, good for when you play record stuff.

I never got more disappointed.
This product can't keep the promise of its advertising.
"Crystal Clear Picture Screen."
This is a lie. The picture is totally fuzzy and when the game gets a bit faster you only see scanlines.
The Audiocapture broke down after 10 minutes of adjusting and trying.
"Supports USB 2.0. Plug and play. Does not require any configuration."
You have to download a Program which is 130 mb and you also need to install a driver, this above is also a lie.
This device is a total joke and I payed too much for this one and I had to pay customs for this one in the end.
I really was looking forward to have fun with this one, but I never got more disappointed then from this device.
Save your money, this one is just worthless and to expensive to buy.

Disappointing, Do not buy!
I bought this hoping that when recording my game-play that it would be clear and viewable. Unfortunately after trying it on my PS2, and the Wii the results were horrible. Scan lines appear on any motion object! The signal is awfully filled with noise, the picture quality is bad.
I tried many games, I have many saved games and I want to record, and enjoy the games' visuals, but I couldn't.
The driver program is huge 130MB, it should've perform and provide better functionalities. Your only available modes are: Very Mini Screen, or the Full resolution! There are no pre-defined scales (at least)!
Strongly not recommended.

DO NOT BUY THIS !!
I tried the vbox2 with my xbox360. The result made me cry. Colors are pale even with adjusted settings, it is not possible to record when in full screen mode, image quality is awful (far inferior than a good old RGB cable), device is NOT plug n' play (it requires drivers and software), there's an installation manual but no instruction manual (for the software, which is NOT user friendly at all), software is glitched (I had to reinstall it because after 30 min of use, it couldn't detect the vbox anymore).
It is very expensive and completely useless.
