If you will be playing FF14 Online next year (2010) then might as well pick this Japanese version (the one with the logo only on the cover). It contains a campaign code that gives you a "secret item" in-game when you play FF14.

Simply the Best.... First time when I got this game what I'm curious about is the battle system. It was an outstanding improvement in the FF series. Real time battle feel with enviroment camera angle switch during battle seems like watching an anime. Slightly different from FF XII though. Awesome graphic and nice storyline plot too. The background music is smooth sort of like FF X-2. A massive masterpiece for the next generation of JRPGs. It really is a great game. Nice work Square Enix

My Final Fantasy XIII Mini Review... Wonderful Graphics, captivating storyline & fantastic gameplay, these qualities are what make the final fantasy series the greatest games in the world.
Final Fantasy XIII is the first installment on the PS3 and has taken a big gamble on the game by introducing new complex systems into the game.
The Paradigm System allows you to use your many jobs to create different tactics which can lead to easy victory in the toughest of situations. Paradigms such as Medic, Saboteur, Sentinal helps to heal allies, add status ailments to enemies while provoking enemies to attack just one enemy.
The Crystarium system is is very similer to the Sphere Grid in Final Fantasy X it requires points to monuver through to gain HP, Strength and various other stats & abilities.
The upgrade system Is simple to use and requires many components to level up. once at * level you can use transform materials to create stronger weapons and accecories.
The downsides to the game would be that there is no free movement in battles, they wanted to make the battles as close to the previous games as possible while still retaining the feel of Real time battle like in Final Fantasy X-2.
There is no world map so there is no going back to previous areas to do optional missions. but makes up to it by introducing the missions in Gran Pulse.
Overall Final Fantasy XIII is my all time favourite and i urge anyone and everyone to play this game if you want to take a journey through an incredible story of love, loss, fear, and a desperate escape from an inevitable fate.
Rating: 95/100 - Truely the greatest Final Fantasy Game so far. narrowly beats Final Fantasy 7 & 8

Simply Amazing!!! If you have been following this game ever since it was announce you wont be sorry in getting it! Its worth the wait and you are gonna be impressed on how much the final fantasy series have grown over the years and now it makes its debut in the current system and you will be blown away by its awesome graphics and story line, its truly a must have for all Final Fantasy Fan! So what are you waiting for!! Get it now!! BTW I prefer the PS3 version over the Xbox 360 not the for the graphics superiority but for convenience, I rather get the game on one disc compare to multiple disc format its based on experience i have on multiple based games on the Xbox 360 if one disc fails the total gaming experience is ruined you have to get a new copy to play it once again and you will still have left over from the previous copy you got.
