A couple of weeks ago, Microsoft™ Japan announced the release of a pure white limited edition Xbox™ console to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the console in Japan. A total of 1000 sets were available for orders only through the official Xbox™ site in Japan for Japanese customers and sold out within a couple of hours.

We have tried very hard to get our hands on a few of those hard to get and really very beautiful consoles and were lucky enough to receive a shipment in limited quantities today. One of the units will decorate our office from now on, while the rest will be available through Play-Asia.com for collectors worldwide.

We had previously received lots of requests for this console and to give every customer a fair and equal chance, we have decided to run a special sale on the Pure White Xbox™ set:

The console will go on sale on coming Monday, March 1st at midnight (H.K. local time - check the countdown on our site) and will be available only as long as our supply lasts. Further, every customer is only entitled to purchase 1 unit (dublicated orders will be cancelled) and payments are accepted by credit card and paypal only (no manual bank transfer payments are accepted, sorry).

The 2nd Anniversary Pure White Edition Xbox™ set includes a white colored Japanese version Xbox™ console, a Joypad in the same color, a DVD Playback Kit, an Xbox Live Kit with Headset, as well as the usual AV cable, power supply and manual.

Every console has a serial number (between 0001 and 1000) engraved on its top. No name has been or will be engraved on those we have received (please do us the favor and do not e-mail us for such request, we cannot do it!).

As final notice, please remember that this console is Japanese region encoded only, which means you can only play back Japanese Xbox™ games.
