Following the trend of the official Japanese am3 Movie Adaptor that lets you play back prestored video & music content on your GBA™ & GBA SP™ handheld, a Chinese manufacturer has now released a third party developed accessory working with standard Compact Flash cards:

The Movie Player is a multimedia addon for your GBA™/GBA SP™ that lets you watch videos, listen to music, read ebooks, watch pictures and much more.

Data is stored on standard Compact Flash (CF) cards, no special preloaded media cards (as for the AM3 Media Player) are required. This means you can upload content by yourself using a standard Compact Flash reader/writer.

The Movie Player currently supports all common multi media file types, including *.AC3, *.WAV, *.MP2, *.MP3, *.RA, *.RM, *.RAM, *.RMVB, *.Mpeg, *.Mpg, *.M2V, *.AVI, *.ASF. *.WMA. *.WMV, *.DAT & more.

The Movie Player further supports an upgradeable firmware function, new firmware can be downloaded online in the future free of charge.

The included Windows based software helps you to convert your current media files into a standard supported by the Movie Player.

The Movie Player will be in stock on coming Monday, December 22nd. Orders are now welcome to be shipped out before Christmas. The Movie Adapter is priced at US$ 39.90 only.
