Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Sega Saturn™ with 2 dedicated Japanese soundtrack CDs

Video game fans and especially Sega lovers should still remember clearly, it's been almost 10 years ago when Sega launched their 32 bit Sega Saturn&trade™ system in Japan on November 22nd, 1994. Technically the most powerful machine at that time, the Saturn was supposed to fight Sony's upcoming PlayStation™ as well as the Nintendo64™.

Though the Saturn™ was a realtively good success in Japan, where it gained a bigger market share than ex-rivals Nintendo's N64™, it did not get enough attention in most other markets where the PlayStation™ was most dominant. The Sega Saturn™ was quickly "replaced" by Sega's latest hardware, the Dreamcast™ in 1998.

For lots of classical gaming fans, the Saturn™ is still one of the most interesting gaming platforms, especially because of their excellent 2D ports. A big variety of 2D shooting, action and fighting games were released - many of them looking much better than on any other console at that time - including titles such as Radiant Silvergun, Thunder Force V, Strikers 1945, Strikers 1945 II, DoDonPachi, Metal Slug, The King of Fighters 95 + 96, Vampire Hunter: Darkstalker's Revenge and lots of more.

Now to celebrate the Sega Saturn's 10th Anniversary, Wave Master has announced 2 soundtrack albums featuring music from the most famous Saturn™ games. Though the final tracklist has not yet been announced, soundtracks from Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA, Sega Rally, Sakura Wars and others are expected to be on the discs.

The Sega Saturn History Part.1 and Sega Saturn History Part.2 compilations will be released in Japan on October 6th, at Y3200 + tax each. Preorders are now welcome at Play-Asia.com at US$ 31.90 for each audio cd. Reserve yourself a piece of Sega Saturn™ history...
