The main character was orphaned as a child and was taken care of by relatives who were living in the suburbs. However, due to familial reasons, he has to move back to the city a decade later and is enrolled into Gekko High School.
Once he reaches the hostel, he is attacked by monsters and his latent "Persona" ability is awoken. And so the fight between the "Special Extracurricular Activities Club", made up of Gekko's students with Persona abilities, and the monsters known as Shadows begins.
